  1. Reefer Madness! Or, Trapped. A 6.5 drug-education comic from 1951 with (more than slightly irritating) slightly brittle pages. I love the description from the GCD: Students smoke reefers, lose job, try heroin, then descend into life of crime to pay for habit. Reefer is such a great word. And did I mention that this was used in SOTI? It was.

Grader notes: Despite coming this 70+ year old comic being graded in April 2022, there were no grader notes.

    No recent sales. Asking $200.

  2. Northwest Mounties #4, CGC graded 7.5 with cream to off-white pages.

This book has a lot going for it:

    • Matt Baker cover
    • 2nd highest graded of 11 total graded with only 1 higher at 8.0
    • One hell of a handsome Mountie gracing the cover

Grader notesmoderate cover tanning; very light creasing to cover; very light spine stress lines to cover.

Last sale per GPA was August 2022 for $360. (The highest graded 8.0 sold for $134 in July 2004.) Happy to share any more pictures you're looking for. Asking $900.

  3. Thinking of Actually selling off some books. Rules furst.

Shipping: Shipping is $16 in the US for USPS Priority shipping for one or two slabbed comics. Three or more slabs will be $25. Raw comics will be $8 in the US for any amount of books. I am happy to ship anywhere outside of the US at exact cost via USPS.

Payment: Preferred method is Zelle, Venmo or PayPal. Payment due within 5 business days or I reserve the right to cancel.

References: I have sold a couple of CGC'd books over the last couple of months and those went pretty. I've sold on eBay as well but it's also been years since I've sold anything there but, for what it's worth, zero negative feedback there (susanville43).

Returns:  No returns on CGC books - happy to provide you with any picture you'd like. Raw books are returnable within 3 days of receipt (but I'm telling you up front, these are mostly beaters).

Take: I am willing to entertain offers but the first :takeit: in the thread always wins. If we come to agreement in a PM, the take needs to be posted in the thread to complete the transaction - if nobody enters a take at my asking price before you post your take, it's yours. No Hall of Shamers or Probies.

Last for the night. In honour of Matt's birthday I'm selling one of his great covers. Pictorial Romances 17, the classic haystack cover. Looks really nice with great colour, but the tear through the logo is obvious. Everything is attached with a tight unfaded spine. Some moisture on the top, front right cover and top, left back cover. Moisture does not go through book. Off white to white pages. 4.0, maybe 4.5.

    $1250.00 $1100.00 $900.00 shipped.

Thanks to Bob Storms / highgradecomics for this new Diary Secrets.

Whew, this red-headed gal in front is a real piece of work. "When the police came, I-I gave YOUR name, Hope! Was that wrong? Should I not have done that? I tell you, I gotta plead ignorance on this thing...."

Probably posted this before but happy to post again. Love this cover - my question is whether you would even tell Hope you gave the cops her name when you walked in or would you wait to see what happened before you tell her?
