House of Mystery 204
CGC 9.4 WHITE
Tough book...to purchase at least. Not much sales data.
A 9.2 White sold on Clink a few months ago for 280. A 9.6 sold in April for 1320.
Anyway, real nice book. A board asked if I was selling it a few months ago but I can't remember or find our DM's. I will give him a day to see this then it's up for grabs.
Let's go 550.00

I will guess this comic would receive a 1.8 from CGC. Still a great-looking comic, congrats!

neat find !!
when i was 16 i signed all my comics i bought that year on the first page (so my brother couldn't say they were his ) , so there are a 100 so comics with my signature on them for some lucky guy some day
The first page? I was far more fearful of sibling theft and wrote my first name right across the cover to protect my comics (I was 7 years old at the time). So if anyone finds any comics with "Sean" on the cover, they're mine.

No villain was ever as awesome as Richie Rich's never to be forgotten nemesis, Dr. N-R-Gee! I mean, what possible weakness could you have with a light bulb as a head? And who could ever forget any of his legendary crimes, like the time he used his head as a fake lighthouse, luring ships filled with the Rich's riches to their doom! Badass with a capital B!

Top of the morning to you all, hope everyone is well and looking forward to the weekend, here in Montreal the weather is perfect, sunny, not too hot, nice breeze, the birds are singing...easier to think positive thoughts when the sky is blue, with that in mind here is a nice book that presents better than its grade, detailed notes are available by request, if you take it just let Sha know when you make the donation and shipping is included
Fantastic Four 36 4.5 $125.00 shipped

Wow, they really hammered the back for the crease as the front looks like a 9.0+
I'm no expert grader (as shown by my placing in the most recent boards grading contest) but I think for a subscription crease - front or back - the highest a book can reasonably be expected to grade is 5.0 so in this case I think they actually bumped up the grade based on how nice the front looked!

I agree with those who vote for neither of the above copies. ASM #129 is plentiful in the mid-grades and based on current GPA you should be able to land a CGC 5.0 - 5.5 at your budget of $1,200. And for mid-grade copies I would try to hunt for copies where the major flaws are on the back of the comic. As an example I show my own copy which presents very well for its grade as the major flaw is a subscription crease on the back cover. Be patient and be picky and you will be rewarded. Good luck with the hunt!

There are other board members who will do the story far more justice, but the scandals include arrests, fraud, fake autographs, trimming and other undisclosed resto and a long history of contentious board fights.
Is it true that if you quickly say his name three times he appears? Or is Danny already here?

Nah. Too much expense and work. Just only handle orange covers.
Are there any orange comic covers?

Here is my copy of "Batman from the 30's to the 70's", not a comic, but a Collected Edition from the 70's so it's Bronze Age material. This is the best looking copy I have ever seen, bought it from an eBay seller several years ago and he stated he purchased it from an estate sale, was on a shelf with other Bat-memorabilia.
Great pick up. I destroyed my copy of this book when I was a kid in the mid 1970s by reading it over and over and over and over. Recently bought another copy off the boards to destroy all over again!

Some of the grades these contest books get...wow. Maybe this is CGC's way of letting us know this is a great time to get your comics graded. I wonder if I can put a note on my submission, requesting the same set of graders who judged the books in this contest!

I didn’t know Drew personally but his story of a wife and children resonates with me, as I am sure it does many of you.
Bernie Wrightson’s Frankenstein
this is the 1994 version. First printing that I had signed at a con in the early 2000’s. It is a big bold signature. I will cover the shipping. $50 donation to Drew’s family.
