Yeah ... you are way more motivated than me. I have my collected editions spread out around my house in racks, bookcases in various rooms (many behind doors), and in a small office. It's not ideal, and here's more of the clutter:
And then I have many other racks and bookcases filled with SF and Art books and boxes of books stored away (as well as all my comics in deep storage). My kid heads to college in less than a year, and then it will be time to make a proper comic room. In the meantime, I just keep buying racks to store stuff:
Looks pretty organized to me! I also like the Guard Cat. Now you just need to teach him/her to play foosball.

Nothing crazy High Grade or anything but I'm happy to add this Double Cover of an (IMO) under-appreciated Dr. Doom cover to my collection courtesy of @crassus
I don't think I own any other double covers, were they common with Silver Age Marvels?

Crime Suspenstories #15 CGC Restored (B-1) - $235
I bought this off ComicConnect as a raw and unrestored 6.0 (and didn't notice any CT when I had the comic in hand). Unfortunately, CGC disagreed on the resto, though this otherwise beautiful copy did get a bump in grade. ComicConnect has offered to take the comic back but only at the purchase price ($248) and as a store credit. Before shipping it back to them I thought I should offer it here - let my loss be your gain!

A few EC undercopies fresh back from CGC. None of these have been pressed. Please excuse any glare or poor scans, took these at work. Now, the rules:
o No Probies or Hall of Shame members.
o Payment via Paypal.
o Shipping: $15 for slabs (in any quantity) in USA and Canada. US shipments will be sent USPS priority post and Canadian shipments will be sent by Canada Post (from the north side of the border). Overseas shipping at cost and only to established board members with references. I normally ship in 2-3 days.
o No returns on graded books unless I have missed something major.
o References: Have bought a ton of stuff (probably too much) on the boards if that counts for anything. Also have a Kudos thread:

Resuscitating this thread so I can show off my newest addition. Don't have a lot of GGA but there are two big things about this cover that have always caught my eye! Of course, I'm talking about the fantastic Feldstein art and the SOTI connection. Apparently, adolescent boys call these headlights...

I've finished Volume 1 of Prince Valiant and found it to be filled with great storytelling and, as I'm sure everyone here already knows, absolutely amazing artwork. I can see why Foster said it would take him nearly 50 hours to complete each strip!
I bought the first four volumes from Amazon and, knowing the books were big and heavy, they made sure to protect with with zero packing - literally just dumping them in an oversized carton and taping it shut. The corners are banged up but not so bad that I'll bother with a return. I think for any future volumes I will order direct from Fantagraphics and cross my fingers that they will protect the volumes better than America's greatest shipper...

For those interested, here are two of the copies I sold, posted to show the Blue/Purple color variations I have noticed with this cover!

Thanks so much everyone. This really helps but still really hard to find in GPA Analysis. If anyone has a purple undead copy I am interested. I will be putting up in WTB section as well.
Just select Haunt of Fear #17 and GPA will bring up two sales charts. The top chart (1950) is for the Green Johnny Craig cover and the lower chart (1953) is for the Blue/Purple Graham 'Ghastly' Ingels cover. I had three copies of the cover you are looking for but unfortunately just sold them all.

Yeah, that is SCS. That's why I basically mentioned to ignore it.
I did. It was all the other defects I should have ignored.

There were notes for this - (notes: front cover, bottom right corner looks like it's missing. It is there and nothing is wrong with it)
As mentioned, I'd gamble that corner wasn't like that when the book was submitted for grading. Damage like that often occurs during return shipping from CGC due to SCS (Shaken Comic Syndrome). It's one of the challenges of guessing grades on comics after they have been slabbed and returned vs. scans taken prior to grading.

Re the Invaders #1. Anyone else think that lower right corner ding might have happened after grading, during the slabbing process?
I still can't figure out how any book with a blunted lower left corner like the Invaders #1 (CGC 9.6?!?) meets anyone's definition of a "super sharp comic." The folded lower right corner also threw me for a loop. How can any fold like that not have at minimum a NCB crease? Shenanigans!

From Metro - Look at the last line of the Unrestored Guarantee.
OUR RETURN POLICY: We're certain you'll be happy with your merchandise. We take extra care to fully describe our items, including any flaws. If you have any questions regarding any of the items you are ordering, please email us at: orders@metropoliscomics.com before placing your order. If the rare occasion arises where you feel you must return an item, please contact us for return instructions within ten (10) days (by phone or email) of receipt of your item(s). Upon our receipt and inspection of the returned item(s), we will issue a refund or credit for your item(s) if returned in the same condition as it was when originally sent to you, excluding shipping/insurance costs. Buyer is responsible for return shipping/insurance costs, which will not be reimbursed for any reason. Returned merchandise must be received by us within seven (7) days of the date from which you contact us regarding the return.
When returning merchandise, please ship your books in the same packaging Metropolis used to send your order. Be sure all cardboard slabs are taped tightly to prohibit movement of the books between them. Insurance and delivery confirmation of returns is entirely your responsibility. Books returned to Metropolis in packaging other than our own or in packaging that has not been taped and sealed sufficiently will not be accepted. If you’ve any questions about this policy and how to pack your books, or if our packaging was damaged in transit to you, please call (800) 229-6387 before shipping your return. We do not accept returns on Original Art or comics/items that are part of a grouping(Group Lot).
GRADE GUARANTEE: All comics are carefully and strictly graded by Metropolis Collectibles under the supervision and guidance of owners Vincent Zurzolo and Stephen Fishler, who were instrumental in devloping the 10-point grading system currently in use throughout the industry. Metropolis can not guarantee that CGC or other dealers will always agree with the grade Metropolis has given a book. Under no circumstance does Metropolis take a return based on a difference of opinion from another dealer or CGC. Customers have 10 days to return any raw comic if dissatisfied with the comic or grade (see return policy, above).
UNRESTORED GUARANTEE: Metropolis guarantees that only books described as restored are restored. Before buying please read the comments field for the comic(s) you are interested in. In the rare case you discover a book Metropolis sold you as unrestored is restored Metropolis will give you a 100% refund within the first 30 days. After 30 days Metropolis offers a store credit redeemable toward any comic book purchase. This policy does not extend to any books that contain comments indicating any type or form of restoration. We consider books graded by CGC and placed into a blue, Universal holder to be unrestored. Customers are responsible for any expenses incurred in the discovery of restoration or shipping costs.
That's the problem, because I didn't catch the restoration - and CGC took five months to grade the comics - I am well outside the 30 day window. And not sure I actually want store credit...
