One reason to re-holder the comic could be concern over the micro chamber paper. CGC originally put micro chamber paper between the first page and the front cover and the last page and the front cover. In many instances, this placement of the micro chamber paper was believed to be reacting with some front covers and causing them to turn transparent. I believe (been a while since I have cracked a comic out) CGC now places the micro chamber paper a few pages in to avoid this.

You would think someone in Quality Control would have noticed a corner folded that badly and questioned it. https://www.cgccomics.com/grading/grading-process/

What value did you give the comic when you submitted it? Ask CGC to reimburse you that full value and the cost of pressing, grading and signature and submit a new comic for the next signing.

My ex worked in tracking years ago at a major courier company in Canada and the vast majority of packages that went *missing* were opened or stolen by employees. The problem was so rampant that the company would frequently run sting operations with bait packages to catch the suspected crooks in the act. The problem was that my ex was also on the union and she said that in order to avoid battles with the union (who always vigorously defended the accused union member - even when caught red-handed) and/or lengthy criminal cases the company almost always encouraged the guilty employees to quit in exchange for no mention of the *suspected* theft on their record. And the stolen packages were just recorded as lost with any insurance paid out...

This was just a joke on my part. I have no knowledge of any boardies real life alter egos and would not be able to identify them in a police lineup! -

I still think this is the best of a bunch of bad options at this stage. Return everything finished or unfinished and declare bankruptcy. Then you can focus on your health and focus on the future. And if you still want to stay in the game you can start over at square one. I honestly believe many of your clients will be happy to give you a second chance. That light at the end of the tunnel isn't always a train. -

Yes, Cornucopia and Carousel are already copyrighted on the boards. May I suggest alternative alliterations, perhaps crescendo, cascade or crab-cakes?

It's not a cease and desist order. It's Hero claiming that posts in this thread are in violation of the CGC Chat Boards Terms of Use. I am guessing CGC has also heard from him re: his opinion of this thread. -

Looks like it belongs to a collector named Carmen. They were smart enough to write their full address on the comic to make sure Hero Restoration didn't get it mixed up with all those other AF 15s he is holding onto... -

Yes, avoid CGC. And skip McDonald's too, they always make me pay before starting on my McRib... But to be clear, my comment was directed toward contractors (as in the comment I quoted) not corporate juggernauts like CGC. You should probably still avoid McDonald's, though... -

Any contractor asking for full payment before any work is done is telegraphing they have problems with cash flow, which is a huge red flag that this is not a contractor you want to do business with. -
I concur! I also like how he almost appears to be crying out the original owner's name, "Ronnie!"

What about newer books like 1st edition Harry Potter? There must be some demand for those?

Did Hero send CGC a cease and desist letter to shut down this thread?
