  1. I've been corrected on this before, but it is my firm belief that CGC reserves the 1.8 grade for books with a completely detached cover.
  2. We were huge fans of Steve Jackson's Car Wars and Champions (creating your character was the best part)!
  3. No Boot Hill! You missed the best one!
  4. I did not realize there was that much demand for a 100-page bronze DC Romance comic. It does have a groovy back cover, though.
  5. Why is that DC 100 Pager in the top 25? Scarcity in high grade?
  6. The villain in black armor is an archetype dating back at least as far as the Black Knight in Arthurian literature; the most important representation being, of course, in Monty Python and the Holy Grail where the Black Knight getting his legs and arms chopped off was obviously the inspiration for Darth Vader!
  7. Snuff-Man...I believe that was Gerry Conway's first choice as a name for the Punisher before he discovered the Geo. W. Helme company had already copyrighted the name...
  8. Not sure if any Harvey comics have more than 50 copies on the census, especially the Bronze Age stuff. This comic has exactly two graded copies on the census, with mine being the highest.
  9. When I visited New York five years ago I was on my way to the Strand Book Store when I stumbled across Forbidden Planet. No back issues but they did have some great discounts at the time on trade paperbacks.
  10. Great picks and a great deal! Still kicking myself as I obviously overpaid and just spent $8 on an MGC #36 (FN/FN+). MUST...RESIST...GALACTUS...
  11. These Harvey gems were my introduction to comics at the age of 7 in 1975. I still have my original (well loved) copies of all three of these issues and still remember where I bought them (B&L Market and Pacific Books). I still pick them up if I see them in decent condition (and around $5) on MCS and own all three in CGC 9.4 or better!
  12. o No Probies or Hall of Shame members. o Payment via Paypal. o Shipping: media mail at cost in USA. Parcel post at cost in Canada. I normally ship in 2-3 days. o No returns o References: Have bought a ton of stuff (probably too much) on the boards if that counts for anything. Also have a Kudos thread: Black_Adam's Feedback Thread * * * * * Near Mint lot of 12 Modern Comics - $60 $50 I bought these comics from MyComicShop (who graded every one NM) and they have never been out of their MCS bags. Selling as I need to make space! I have made a little spreadsheet below showing each comic and the current sell price for each at MCS (using lower prices in some instances where MCS does not have NM copies available). The total for these 12 comics if purchased from MCS today would be $90+ They can all be yours for $60 + shipping! 13. I just hate when they have that mildewy "stored in a damp basement" odor.
