  1. Is the piece missing from the corner visible inside the slab?
  2. Comics can be damaged after being encased by CGC. It is known as SCS - Shaken Comic Syndrome - and can leave damage as pictured. Always buy the book - not the label!
  3. o No Probies or Hall of Shame members. o Payment via Paypal. o Shipping: media mail at cost in USA. Parcel post at cost in Canada. I normally ship in 2-3 days. o No returns o References: Have bought a ton of stuff (probably too much) on the boards if that counts for anything. Also have a Kudos thread: Black_Adam's Feedback Thread * * * * * Clearing out some Wrightson under copies. This eight comic lot averages VG/FN with the exception of the HOM 204 which is closer to a VG- (3.5). Great art inside and out from the masterful Berni Wrightson! $120 + shipping

  6. No More Marvel Movies. In fact, based on recent offerings, no more superhero movies - period. I don't read any of the new comics being published, but surely they have better stories than some of these scripts?

  11. On the bright side, the Oilers next game is against the Sharks which is basically a guaranteed win.
  12. I've been a loyal and happy customer of MCS since Dec. 8/2016, when I paid the princely sum of $265 to add this Thor #162 (which I still have) to my collection!
  13. Being the 80s, the cool kids always carried a fat comb in their back pocket and I had a friend who could use that comb, between his fingers as described, to hit those buttons with blinding speed!
  14. Would you consider flying directly to Florida and CGC with the comics? I hear Sarasota is beautiful this time of year.
  15. This is definitely a conversation you should be having with CGC. Hope the bend is non-color breaking and they are able to give it a quick press and re-slab and return it to you in the same grade!
  16. You declared it at $400 on the Modern Tier. Did they upgrade you to a higher tier and upcharge you when the book received the 9.8 grade and higher valuation? If no, the value of the book is only $400 and all you would possibly be reimbursed if they agree the damage was their fault.
  17. If you have pics pre-grading, send them to CGC. You can send the book back to them to see if they can repair the corner, but it will then be re-graded and may come back a lower grade. If it does you can ask them to compensate you for the value of the book (the amount you declared when submitting the comic) but be aware that the comic is then their property. Or you can see if they will compensate you an agreed upon difference between the two grades and return the comic. Don't take this as the official CGC stance, it is just what happened to me in a similar situation a few years ago.
  18. At least one Heritage VP is a member of the CGC boards...
  19. Found these two on eBay. Some of my best childhood memories had a Harvey logo. Despite being Bronze Age, these are actually tough to find with the #7 being the only graded copy!
