  1. Apparently DC is following Marvel with their woke agenda on this movie. Yep, I'm definitely out. I was hoping Warner would just focus on making movies without virtue signaling but it doesn't seem like that's going to happen.
  2. Same here. I didn't find anything in that trailer that made this a "must watch" movie for me, but that last line sealed it for me.
  3. Cool book, but I'm sure you're probably aware this is in pretty rough shape. I'd say it's in Poor condition.
  4. Nice book. I'd say it's in the NM range (9.2). Possibly higher if that top right corner can be pressed.
  5. I think the YouTuber may be one of these entitled people out there that think because they have a camera and a YouTube channel they can go out, and film and do what they want without a care on how it'll affect the people they're recording as long as they can use those people for content in their videos. I've never gotten kicked out from a comic books store but to get kicked out from two stores within an hour for the same reason was his own fault. He knew why he got kicked out from the first store and did it again at the second store. I've dealt with a couple YouTube and social media people in the past and one of the things they love to do is to try to intimidate people so that they can get what they want. Maybe these store owners knew what was up, a guy walking in with a camera strapped onto him is pretty obvious what he's doing, and just decided to end his stupid games once he showed he wasn't going to respect their business.
  6. I would assume the OP is doing better since he doesn't seem as desperate to sell his books.
  7. This is unfortunate especially considering people who don't know much about comics prices may just type "comic book price guide" into their browser and wind up getting that web site. Imagine inheriting a bunch of old books and using that site to not only price your books but to use their marketplace to sell them. It's always good to have more than one source for pricing.
  8. I have no issues with buying restored books but trimmed pages or covers are a no-buy for me. I'd rather get one with a detached and split cover than a "higher grade" trimmed book.
  9. $70 for that book is insane. The book is worth much more than that. That website is not a very good place to go to get accurate pricing. They use an algorithm to come up with their graded prices instead of actual prices. For a book like that, that doesn't get sold very often, it's harder to get an accurate price but $70 is way off for such a key book.
  10. They probably took a hit on the grade. Green labels will ignore certain defects, whereas blue labels won't.
  11. I know this topic (180 vs. 181) has been highly debated on many threads and forums, but what would/could/should happen if in issue 181 the editor decided to replace the entire creative team with another team and took the book onto an entirely different story path without Wolverine, and Marvel decided to put someone else other than Wolverine in GS#1. Would #180 still be considered a cameo or 1st appearance?
  12. Are there other buyers that went through the same problem the OP went thru? Longshot mentioned there were other buyers that were trying to post comments in his threads about some complaints but he had then removed. If these buyers existed then wouldn't that be HOS eligible?
  13. While making the buyer completely, or partially, whole will be a step in the right direction, the seller's behavior and attitude towards potential buyer's in his many sales thread plus his current attitude with OP tells me he is not a seller I want to buy anything from. Owning up to your mistake immediately when it happens would have been the right way to handle the situation. Waiting days, and under pressure from forum members, to make the decision to handle the problem does not give me confidence that the seller wants to own the problem he created.
  14. I'd thought for someone who has been a member for over a decade that there would be some integrity, but sadly it doesn't appear so.
  15. Posted November 25 Why have this in your sales thread when you don't honor your own words?
  16. I really don't get why you would admit you're trying to ghost your customers who have issues with the books you sent them. You accepted their "low-balling" price so it's not their fault for your inability to get the price you want. Exactly how many customers have you had try harass you in your sales thread? A satisfied customer probably wouldn't do that, unless their concerns were met with silence.
  17. This doesn't sound good. You've dealt with customers like this before, who wanted a refund on books they bought from you, but rather than fix the issue, you'd rather block them so they can't comment on your thread? How many customers have requested refund?
  18. You're going about this completely wrong if you're trying to get your books sold or solicit donations.
  19. I'm fully aware of that. NHS #38 was considered her first appearance for the longest time. Here is the thread I started way back in 2015 regarding the book.
  20. The only book I can think of that may answer your question is Ninja High School #38. It was thought that it was the Warrior Nun Areala 1st appearance, even though she doesn't appear in the book at all. Someone just assumed it was her on the cover. As the price of the book got higher, more and more people started calling that book her first appearance, but no one actually looked inside the book to see if that were true. It wasn't until a few years ago until people started to find out that it wasn't her first appearance, but there are some still trying to sell the book as her first appearance.
  21. Yeah, so I'm not sure why the OP thinks he has to pay for grader notes.
