  1. I agree, but I was just curious. I can't even see it;I think it's above his left eye? We love the book and the grade especially for the discounted price we got it for. It's top grade in the census. I just thought if it was that good with the c/t what would it be without? 8.5-9.0? I was trying to do the collection w/out PLOD's but I may make an exception on this one. (thumbs u Andrew
  2. Just pretend we're a bit slow here in Australia (it's a stretch, I know) - which PLOD one? There's a couple of nice PLOD books in the Heritage Nov auction - the FC 29 is especially nice... but not color touched. Sorry I was referring to the one I just purchased WDC&S 89. (thumbs u Andrew
  3. Gotta ask - do you have a licence to print money? The rate you buy seriously nice comics is astounding. Those are some great books! lol I definitely do not. If I did I’d have my X-Men and ASM runs complete. My dad on the other hand. When we sold his collection last year it freed up some capital. I’m trying to encourage him to make “investment” purchases. But he has a slight case of OCD when it comes to these things, so what can I say. That’s why we ended up w/ so many duplicates. I still need to flip those so we can get the books we really “need”. Any one got any thoughts on the PLOD one. I was thinking of maybe having the color touch removed, how do you think it would affect the grade? (thumbs u Andrew
  4. Last three. So many books in the Nov. Sig. Auction gonna have a hard time. (thumbs u Andrew
  5. I know these are not GA but got them at the same time. Few books closer to the end. (thumbs u Andrew
  6. Unpacked these tonight. Back to some HG goodness. (thumbs u Andrew
  7. Got these in the mail the other day. (thumbs u Andrew
  8. Great book AJD, We still need that one. So many books so little time. (thumbs u Andrew
  9. WTTB Good to have another JLA Fan. Post a picture of yours if you have one. (thumbs u Andrew
  10. knowatteye mean? Couldn’t agree more aman, but it’s what he had. I was trying to be complete in the list. I know most have little to no interest in the 80’s books but the were in his collection so there on the list. His list was short I didn’t think anyone would mind. They can't all be like my dad's. (thumbs u Andrew
  11. Ryan While this was not every book he owned, it is all he cosigned. He had left one box at home but it contained more 80’s 90’s books, so not worth the time. So sorry no 400, if it’s not on the list he unfortunately didn’t have it. (thumbs u Andrew

  16. I’ve asked both my contact at Heritage and the consigner to keep me in the loop as to when books return from grading and when books will be put into auctions. That being said from this point on neither has any obligation to me, so we’ll see. From what I understood the “key” books and HG books that meet the minimum requirements for Heritage Signature Auctions would be placed in the February Auction. Any of the other books not suitable for grading could be available within the next month or so. The remaining books would be however long CGC’s turn over is currently. They estimated they would move the whole collection within six months. I’ll definitely keep everyone posted with any information I get. (thumbs u Andrew
  17. I'm really testing my grading chops on this collection, so I may be off. Hopefully I'll get a better idea of how my grading compares when some of these books start coming back from CGC. I would say it looks like a solid 8.0 w/ the poss. of going to a 9.0, not sure about the top lft. corner and did not take to books out to inspect the back covers. (thumbs u Andrew
  18. Congrats to you and your Dad's neighbor! (thumbs u So are you handling the submission of the books to CGC or is Heritage doing it? Heritage is take care of the "heavy" work. I don't think the collection is large enough or HG enough to get its own title. But Lon and Steve were unavailable on Sat. morning to go through the books w/ us so it was mainly just a drop-off affair. So you never know. I'll try and have the finalized inventory up this week. It's about 1300 books, starting in about 1958-63/64, all the main titles and some stuff my dad didn't even have. (thumbs u Andrew
  19. Unpacked these beauties thanks to a fellow board member. (thumbs u Andrew
