  1. Looks like it was made in china. They have been making fake "rare" coins in fake slabs for years.
  2. Sadly these stories have become common with commissions. Artists take more work than they can handle and end up falling behind. I never pay more than half down for a commission. One thing of note, NEVER tell PayPal you are paying for something custom made, they DONT cover it in buyer protection. They also don’t cover installments. So it really is a leap of faith. There’s a Facebook group for sketches and commissions where people post their experiences both good and bad. I suggest anyone looking at a commission do their due diligence first.
  3. Fully painted cover by Meghan Hetrick featuring Captain Marvel, She Hulk and more! Starting bid is $1000 which is less than half what the cover retails for. Take a peek! https://www.ebay.com/itm/292660687989?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  4. Making money for a dealer is fine, it’s the reason they’re in business. However burying someone in a piece isn’t cool in my opinion. While I understand that no one wants to leave a cent on the table, some prices really make you shake your head. Unless you’re super wealthy, you often times can’t buy a piece you would love to own. Most collectors have limited means and often stretch themselves thin, it’s the addiction of collecting. I think many dealers know this and play with the emotions of collectors when it comes to pricing.
  5. So basically the lower the price a higher markup is more acceptable than a higher priced piece. So when dealers buy, it seems they want a huge margin on all pieces of at least 50%. Is this the market norm?
  6. So a question to everyone. What mark up do you feel is reasonable for a dealer or collector to put on a piece? I’ve sold pieces to dealers which were marked up by 100%. When you sell or trade it should it bother you? Or when you see a piece sold and then see it for much higher? So what would you say is reasonable? (Other than the few things that fall through the cracks)
  7. An option. You can have a dealer represent you at auction and sell for 3%-4% over the sale price. It’s a small amount of savings but can add up.
  8. Action comics 4 coverless incomplete 54 Pages. Looks like first wrap and cfold are missing but one other page I can’t figure out. Nice and supple pages. SOLD No returns so please ask questions first.
  9. Poor mans Amazing Spider-Man 1! Coverless and missing a coupon from the last page. Doesn’t effect story. Nice supple pages with all attached. Great if you need a centerfold or just a filler. On hold shipped within the US. PayPal included. Not looking to trade. First :take it: wins!
  10. I don’t go but still ended up buying two pieces
  11. Flambit, Cool lines has a MCP Wolverine and Colossus cover. Can you ask the price on that one?
  12. This is the norm in most collectible art it seems.
  13. It was high 5 figures but I don’t know the exact number.
