For all we know the person who has the coverless bought it years ago for a few thousand dollars. So his total amount into the book will not be much more than the high bid. To either remove the resto or fully restore it may cost another $5k. So let’s say it goes for $250k. The total the winner may have into it could be around $260k for either a 1.0 qualified or a 6.0-8.0 extensive? Price doesn’t sound too crazy anymore.

Up to $124k. At this point I can almost bet the person bidding has a centerfold/coverless complete.

As with all things in life, clear communication is paramount to a successful relationship. Whether it be a marriage or a business agreement.

Mylar doesn’t effect it at all. It is clear after all.... That frame and most of my basic 11x17 pieces in a double mat, archival material and UV glass cost me $90 each. Since I’ve had so much framed I receive a bulk discount.

Agreed. Many of the poses are identical to his previous covers.

I get my pieces framed with the art in a Mylar if possible. This way no adhesive touches the actual art. Hard to see in the images.

I dropped out when it hit 4K. Nguyen sells his covers for 5k plus, so technically the one on eBay went “cheap”

Surprised at the reserve on the Saviuk Web of Spiderman splash.

There was a piece I was interested in and inquired a few times over the course of a few years. Answer was always NFS. That was ok. But when I saw it had been consigned to auction, I honestly didn’t feel too interested in bidding. And it went for less than I would have been willing to pay. Auctions can be great but can be duds too. If you have an interested party with a solid offer, why not take it?
