Lots of upsets in this round. Wow

you, BUTM, are a double-cover master.

How in the world did that Aquaman 29 get an 8.0 with that big stain on the back cover?

It's when you don't have to play against someone that round. You get an automatic pass into the next round. The question I have is how do we know if we got a buy this time? I'm getting my grades ready just in case.
Only thing you have to buy is more funny books!

Did a boardie pick up that Fight #12 on CL just now? I tried and failed. The book went for quite the tidy price.
I missed it too. Tough issue and classic cover to boot.

Please add Cannonball Comics (Rural Home, 1944).

I'd take the 19 as well. 10 is a little tougher but 19 is so damn classic......

TWMJR1, you are absolutely correct that this auction is PROOF POSITIVE that Captain America #1 is gaining ground on Batman 1. Dueling 1.5's in December, 2017 show that Captain America 1 sold for 82.42% of the Batman 1. In today's battle of 3.5's, CA1 sold for 83.33% of the Batman 1. Taking this to the next logical step we see that CA1 gains .91% on Batman 1 every two months. Thus, Captain America #1 and Batman #1 will undoubtedly cost the same price in a little over 36 months. I would love to calculate how long it will take CA1 to pass Superman #1 to see if your 10-year prediction is correct, but I'm running late for tonight's monthly Earth Is Flat Society meeting.
I just fell over laughing reading this.

That Cap 1 4.0 Q was tempting at $50k. That's a big hit for the married CF.
Yep. Interesting that a phone bid won it too. Congrats to the buyer.

How much?
He's just teasing us.

They seem to have peaked last year in the 10-12k range if coverless complete and have come down since then. CF is the most valuable part, but assuming you have the CF and the WW story intact I think 7 to 8k would be retail. Perhaps higher if the part is needed to complete a copy.

The Heritage description for the Bat #1 states " The issue is currently ranked #4 in value on Overstreet's Top 100 Golden Age Comics, but that could change within the near future, as it chases down the current #3 -- All-American Comics #16 "
That can't be right can it, is AA#16 the #3 book in Overstreet? I thought everything else was a distant 4th to Action 1, Tec 27 and Supe 1?
But I wouldn't be surprised if the AA 16 can't catch where the Bat 1 is now, let alone what the final price might be.
AA 16 is 4th in Overstreet. Here's the top 20 per the 47th edition......
2018 Annual March Madness CGC Grading Tournament - Round of 32
in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?

OK guys. Hopefully I'm not shooting myself in the foot here, BUT the Doc Savage outer cover (what we are suppose to guess) was a 6.5, not a 7.5. Still over graded imo.
