What a cool book. 24 and 33 get a lot of the love but 43 is right up there.

You're probably right. Which is too bad - for the price they ask for some books they should at least post higher resolution pictures .
Make sure you don't just click on the picture of the book, but on the "Zoom Front Cover" over it. Then click it again. Picture you see now should be clear and super-sized.

When was the last time the BIG 2 weren’t in that position ? Not even considered the Big 2 ? I am also not an Archie guy but that’s a Top 10
If I remember correctly, in the early 90s Marvel 1 was top dog (per Overstreet) for a brief period.

Crazy price. Hopefully the buyer loves this book and is not looking at it as an investment.

take Tec 148 if available

What the heck? I'll take the Marvel Family 18

Thanks Mike! I feel like I overpaid but I really wanted it.
I called it a 2.5 when I was figuring out what kind of bids I wanted to throw. It had a big spine split and was detached at the top staple. It presented nice but I really don't think it would have hit 3.0. But I tend to under grade so its hard to say. I also think its slightly brittle. All the GA in this auction came from the same collection and a lot of the books had poor PQ.
Thanks for the info. Tec 24 is one of my favorites and is tough in any shape.

I actually attended the auction. If you bid live the BP is 20% But you pay 6% PA sales tax unless you have a resellers state sales tax ID number on file. So He got it at just under or just over 40K since The winner of the tec 1 was live. I had the misfourtune of bidding against him on a few books I wanted. He cost me $600 extra on the adventure 42 . The most surprising book to me was the tec 24, It sold for around $4800 with BP. I think it went to the same guy as who bought the tec 1.
What shape was the Tec 24?

Not with all of that tape on the spine and back cover.
Yep. Very strong price. Seems like the "buy in" just keeps going up and up on Punch 12. The Ebay copy that sold for $9300 (allegedly) looks like it has weak paper and a nasty 3 inch or so spine split in addition to that long taped tear. Maybe a 1.8/2?

If you don’t anticipate owning your grail But still would like a piece of it would you rather have :
a. A page from a secondary story
OR
b a back cover where there are only ads and no pin ups
Mostly likely "B", but it all depends what that grail is. Quite a few non-pin up back covers are generic.

Web of Evil is a great title! Much better than Baffaling.
I'm baffled on Baffalings.
