  1. The soldier fleeing out of the cover looks like Raboy to me, I can see concerns with the rest of it. It's not a typical Raboy layout being the primary standout.
  2. If I was given the choice of one over the other I'd pick Leyendecker.
  3. Fun run! I only have a 14 since that's Russ Heath's first work. I don't think I've ever seen a copy of #10 before. That must be a rare issue.
  4. Here's a shot a buddy and I put together a few years back. Not sure how many have been added to our collections since.
  5. Well it is the "hidden" valley collection. It's part of the promotion to make the books hard to find. Oh, and ranch dressing.
  6. The economics of this factor into play. CGC makes easy money off of moderns, big money off of big dollar submissions, and good money off of press/resub books. The books that take the most time and effort to grade and yield the least profit are those similar to what you submitted. Despite what we'd all like to think, CGC isn't vested financially in making us neurotic obscure GA collectors happy. If they were to concede on this, a precedent would be set where all of our OCD-like demands would be fair game going forward. That would take time away from making good money. My advice: keep your books raw and document them in a spreadsheet as you see fit
  7. Do the books from the "Hidden Valley" collection come with a bottle of ranch dressing?
  8. This is the first Church book I ever got. I remember reading about this issue back in the old CBM IIRC, I think Pat Kochanek had an article on this as his absolute favorite of all his Church books. It's certainly not my least favorite.
  9. I'm curious what happened with the honesty ray. I mean Hitler wasn't really hiding a whole lot.
  10. One of the more intense western covers I've come across.
  11. Congrats! My raw purchases from HA are usually a smidge overgraded. Nice turnout.
