  1. I've got some money coming too! Turns out I've got ties to a Nigerian prince.
  2. Any one of these would be unbelievable to hold, but all of them together... swoon.
  3. I heard the announcer's voice and theme music as soon as I saw this picture.
  4. 1) the consignors DID request privacy. 2) that's a huge stretch to compare a guy spending his life searching for his POW brother and hoping he's alive to telling a story to sell a comic collection. And we're not even sure this is the same guy. And if it is the same guy, it's not even him that has requested privacy, rather it's his heirs.
  5. Appreciate the research, but I disagree that Heritage owes you or anyone else anything at all other than what they owe to their consignors, which is the privacy they've asked for. How you can justify that they need to breach that just for your sense of satisfaction with a comic book you own is beyond me.
  6. It doesn't matter, CGC doesn't check the back covers any more. Didn't you see the Whiz 1 and Detective 38? Just slap any piece of paper on there and you're good.
  7. "I can't stand my wife anymore" "And what do you reproach her for?" "For being there."
  8. JIM 85 is a mega key and has lagged behind other SA books. Maybe the only Marvel SA book you can say that about.
  9. The bottom wasn't, but that shifted the whole cover up and the top was trimmed very poorly.
  10. Incidentally this was heavily trimmed and returned.
  11. It's likely one of many shoe store giveaways where they took coverless copies and stapled a generic cover over the interior. I had a couple of DCs that I sent to Gary Carter way back when and he did a blurb on them in CBM. It's not something that was made specifically for the store.
  12. Heritage also has a pool of buyers that don't look elsewhere. It's true of any site.
  13. I didn't have the money nor brains to go after it then, but fortunately the winner passed it along to me in a moment of weakness.
  14. I have a lot of books that I paid under $100 for, but I have very few that are worth less than a significant multiple of that.
