  1. Yeah, that's pretty wild. But those Xela airbrush books seem to be out there in grade, and seem to be present in every HG collection. I think that will keep the price down, many people who want one in HG already have one.
  2. I think the AA 61 will be pretty high. That book is silly hot. The Startling 49 could do well also, but probably less than the PL 17.
  3. I would strongly advise that nobody even bid on them. Just ignore them and move on. They're garbage.
  4. It's almost like someone owns all the Church Timelys. I wonder who.
  5. The consensus among people in this thread that we're not in a bubble assures me that we are, in fact, in a bubble.
  6. CGC is grading at a glacial level, but the auction doesn't start for almost a month. Expect to see lesser titles in the weekly auctions, but rolling out as quickly as possible.
  7. I'm working on a method where I shrink myself down to submillimeter size with a whole bunch of buckets of paint and brushes and just work out the dot matrix myself while repairing the fiber breaks. It's in the early stages, but I don't want to share any other secrets with you.
  8. Doesn't sizing add to the gloss? That's what every professional restorer has told me.
  9. Jay Maybruck/Sparkle City hit Ohio really hard back in the day. My 4 years in Columbus were pretty thin when it came to collecting/stores. The Bookery was the best place around. Given the demographics I was surprised to see such little inventory available. But then again, that was a different time.
  10. Instead of $20 I'll let you buy the Azul next time we're together. If you're lucky we can trick Roy into paying. The one thing I will say about these scans is that HA needs to turn the lights down just a smidge. If that's your butterface, then I'd love to hear who you think is a 9 or a 10.
  11. That would be wonderful if it were the case, but that hasn't been my experience with CGC lately. I guess the good news is that if it is the case, we can just smash all of these up to 9.9s.
  12. No, look at the picture. It's probably NCB bending from the book being folded at the spine, the difference in colon is most likely from Heritage's sun level lighting. Technically every comic has a full length crease on the cover, it's just where it's folded over the staples. Does that mean it's a defect?
  13. It depends on whether I'm buying or selling.
  14. You should take $100 from the sale and get a scanner.
  15. Some of the bending on the spine is probably from manufacturing and thus would not be considered a "defect".
  16. I feel sorry for almost anyone else who consigns a great book. So much to compete against.
  17. Way less creepy than the "promise collection". Makes me think of getting married. Gross.
