  1. Added to my Namor collection with this incredible copy of X-Men #6 and got this DD #7 for a bud (EVEN THOUGH I DON'T HAVE ONE OF MY OWN BECAUSE I'M THE GREATEST GUY EVER)
  2. I scored my forever copy of FF 4 which I've come to realize is my #1 grail, and it had a secret on page 1
  3. finally got a copy of my favorite juggy cover. And it’s a stunner!
  4. Just got my long sought fantastic four #49 and some others from Dr X. Great communication, great books and the best packing job I’ve ever seen in my life (and these were raw, mid-grade books). Thanks, Dr X!
  5. Thanks for the love and interest. Moving this to another venue. Freshly graded, first time graded, deep red cover, white pages. Someone on spare a grade asked "did you bump up the saturation in those pics?" when I first posted it and, nah, she just waken up like that. It's a beauty, but circumstances dictated it finally be graded and move on to its next home. TERMS: People on the probation list are not eligible to purchase. Since this is CGC, all sales are final, but of course if the book doesn't arrive correctly, that's a different story. First in this thread or via PM wins the book based on time stamp. All prices are in USD. Priority shipping within the US is included. If you want to insure it, that's available up to $5000, according to my research. We can insure it to your level of comfort including through alternate insurers. Book will be securely shipped in the same packaging/style as it came back from CGC. I'm also happy to ship with your preferred shipper or do in-person if you're local enough (I am in southern NY, about 1 hr north of NYC. I would ship internationally but would have to calculate rates etc when we find out where I'm shipping. This is my 4th sale here, so please ask about anything I may have left out! I don't have a ton of Kudos on the boards yet, but did sell a semi-expensive book recently (not near this big but big enough), and have gotten only good feedback so far. I have a longer track record on reddit comicswap, and of course, am happy to discuss via PM and do what I can to make any buyer feel comfortable. I'll prefer personal checks (will likely need to clear as I'm new here), money order, or Zelle. But I'm happy to work with any buyer, since I haven't personally sold a book this big. Feel free to send me offers via PM PRICING & IMAGES Last two sales this year were right around $18000, so this book seems to be on the upswing at least in this grade! (let's hope more comics follow). I'm listing at slightly below the 90 day GPA average with USPS shipping (but not insurance) included. Asking $17000 Given the recent drama and how big a book this is, I made sure to document the book as thoroughly as possible. To that end, I've attached pics of the book pre-grading (including the MVS intact), the hi-res pics from CGC that I purchased, and the book in hand. CGC cert info is here: https://www.cgccomics.com/certlookup/4380789001/ Thanks for looking!
  6. Bc my copy is raw here’s my favorite page from this ish. Congrats! Great pickup!
  7. Still need to find my copy of this book. Top 5 cover for me
  8. ON CLOUD NINE! This one will probably be listed soon for sale on the boards, but man oh man oh man. Looks like @Bmattioli86 and/or @flying_bison were closest, and maybe Bmattioli takes it by virtue of confidence
  9. Haha I was just saying somewhere else that I think Jack put the issue number for FF 2 in the middle of the drawing so Stan couldn't add another dialog balloon.
  10. Hi, I have an opportunity to get a book I'd never be able to afford in a blue label in a purple label. My general attitude towards collecting is that I probably bought every book I'm going to make multiples off of 30 years ago, and so now I really just want to be confident I can acquire a book, love it and hug it and name it George, and get my money back out when I'm ready. This particular copy is trimmed. The trimming is well done and the centering is great, nothing cut off, etc. I'm just wondering - so I can evaluate the price - if trimming is considered to devalue a book more than say, color touch or pieces added, etc. Thanks much for the insight!
  11. I was so thankful someone bought the 9.0 of this that came up the other day so I don't end up with 3 copies of this book. I can't not want every copy I see.
  12. This just washed up today and I'm beside myself with joy
  13. I have literally the biggest book I’ve ever owned (money-wise) w them right now. Just said it’s being graded and QC purgatory is always the hardest part of the wait. If it’s in QC for more than two days I’m gonna start asking for proof of life daily 🤣🤣
  14. Ok and how’s the load speed on the boards for you? Notice a difference?
  15. Ha, my thoughts exactly! Just when you thought you’d seen every possible squabble on these boards already…you get to learn about things you never thought you would.
  16. As is Jeremy. We got to know each other on comicswap on reddit (where his reputation eclipses mine), became good friends for real, and basically migrated here together.
  17. Interesting. I have a different theory, but I’ll def try just using ad blocker on the site and see what happens. Thanks for the tip! I’ll never miss another Kramerica or Dale Roberts book again!
  18. Right we’re all just picturing a bunch of books on the shelf in the break room where they put the unclaimed food for one day before they throw it out, now.
  19. So, I’m not a “tech solves everything” person - despite, or because of - it being my field of expertise. But it seems obvious CGC needs to value what it can do for them much more highly. One visit to the website will tell you that, let alone going through the submission process. These boards are an absolute treasure but I literally got a brand new phone last week and it still take a minute for a page to load. The software is insanely out of date. I wonder if it’s a case of lack of understanding of options available or thinking they can’t do it, or what. I don’t automatically assign malice to it, but man they need help.
