Hahahaha too funny. Victoria moves at a much slower pace than Vancouver. Did this actually make the national news? or just CTV Victoria?
Looking forward to seeing the grade on this one

Good title tease...
Amen to Bang's fullest recovery and I do hope he returns to the forums here to spread more pop culture goodness (as he doesn't just share comics, but pulps, hardcovers, BLB's, records!).
Remember the first time you saw his group shots?? My jaw hit the floor:

Your shipping form you send out, you should keep everything in case you have to prove that the books are yours upon return.
I had to do this with a shipment.
Ah of course, its been a long time since I've mailed anything, thanks for the help

You'll have to make sure the books are marked "for evaluation only then returned" when you ship.
Ok thanks, so just mark that on the shipping form I assume? and CGC will include this in the return shipping or something?

Hey y'all, I have a question in regards to comics being shipped back to Canada after grading. Couldn't find the answer using the search function. Ive never submitted comics directly myself...
After my books are graded and go through Canada customs what kind of taxes duties can I expect to pay? and on what value?
Obviously I already own these comics so I shouldn't be paying any fees on their value. How do I avoid this? Customs form I need to fill out?
Any help will be appreciated !
Thanks
Bryan

Hello CGC boards my old friend...
Previous board member back again after a long hiatus.
My last board log in was Nov 2011 under the handle StormShadow. I moved that year in September and boxed up all my comics. Put them in a closet at my new place and haven't fussed with them much except to sell a few here and there. Decided to take a small break from comics which ended up lasting until earlier this year. Right around the same time i was moving someone from my hockey team unleashed a crazy spam malware which destroyed my hotmail email and i gave up on it and basically lost access to a few things. Last excuse but not least Ive just been busy with life I guess. Hopefully Ill stick around a bit longer this time.
Crazy how time flies !
I'm not sure what big events I've missed in the collecting world since basically mid 2012 but I'm sure there have been a few.
Anyone care to bring me up to speed?
Some things Ive noticed are the crazy high prices for AF15, Don and Maggie pedigree, there are a lot of pressers?!? I saw an ad locally on craigslist here in Vancouver advertising pressing service for $8 per comic...that is a pretty good price...
Looking forward to speaking with everyone again on here!

Look, the mods changed the title, as they probably should have long ago.
But to start calling someone racist over an Aussie joke is more reflective on your problem than anyone else's. Give it a rest. You are new here. You won your battle. Congrats. Now let us look at our cool old funnybooks.
you gotta give him credit for that; he definitely had it nipped in the bud.

I believe its too late for the OP to edit the title. Perhaps the mods can but if they can't than why not just delete it. It just means people have to start a new thread and post more cool comics to look at.

Glad to see the Gerbers did great.
Awesome job mschmidt

I was always surprised it lasted this long. Political posts are wiped from the face of the boards but this thread marches on. strange

To bid or not to bid...I don't trust sellers like this. Anyone know this guy ? Any feedback ? I don't trust ebay feedback after seeing what robojobo used to get away with. It's good to see a n00b has used the search function and done some reading before posting.Do tell - I tried the search engine (which is usually useless in my experience). With the search engine I found... this thread.
So I tried a Google search of the site, and got this link.
Welcome to the boards Clay.

I gotta get out of this slump before Ken takes a commanding lead
Here's a chance to catch up:
What is that. An ear ? No clue where to start. Can't tell what it is.

Well, she's here. I can't get over how great this book looks in person. The back cover and edges of the pages are really WHITE. I've got two other books that's suppose to be white pages and they definitely don't look as good as this.
Here she sits next to my admittedly soft 9.4 Bats 232.
Obligatory family pic of my other Adams Bats.
My fledgling comic book collection is now a whopping 48 comics! Woohoo
What books are increasing in value other than AF15?
