  1. No one cares about the Emmys, lol. Maybe YOU dont care. You know I have had enough with these boards. The only reason people tune into these boards is to see the next fight. Made up of trolls and tire kickers and a couple real collectors who just like having their d**k pulled. Fine Spawn was mess. Mcfarlane is mess. Every comic outside of whatever you like is mess! See that I finally made two people agree on these boards. There is hope yet!
  2. Hard for me to beleive that you read 150 issues of Spawn and had no idea there was the HBO show that aired every week before the Sopronoes. I think you are the one misinformed. Spawn was great from the beginning to 150+. When Todd and Greg did those books it was amazing. There are no story lines like in other comics which makes me think you never even read a Spawn comic. It one continuous battle of Spawn trying to put his life together while fighting Heaven and hell at the same time.
  3. When did Spawn get good...Issue#1-150+ Did you ever hear about the HBO show that won an Emmy? That was right from the comics. Obviously some one liked it.
  4. Oh please you read one issue of spiderman when he first tried writing and you write him off for the next 25 years. He has written like 300 comics since and Spawn is amazing not just good. As for the movie. Todd waited this long so he could get the rights to spawn and direct it himself which he was not able to do the first time around. Check this out and give the man some credit.. http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=todd+mcfarlane+talking+spawn+movie&view=detail&mid=1DFA1778EBE35A6F90241DFA1778EBE35A6F9024&FORM=VIRE
  5. Why do people only associate Todd's writing with 14 issues of Spider-Man. What about the 200+ issues he wrote of Spawn! That stuff is amazing!!
  6. All the Spawn pieces I sold are going to go up big time when the movie hits. With Todd directing and writing the screenplay it is sure to be a hit. AGH... I should have waited another 6-8 months before I sold mine =( I really do like the Spidey cover by Gil Kane and Romita. Also that Adams Kung fu is insanely good!
  7. In Memory of Bernie Wrightson on Walking Dead I am surprised nobody has mentioned that at the end of last nights Season of Walking Dead they said in Memory of Bernie Wrightson. I thought that was so cool considering Bernie,to my knowledge, didnt work on the show. Great way to pay respects.
  8. Chupacabra, lol. To Gene...I did not buy the piece. Just someone told me about the deal. I prefer the one I posted over the other one. Just looks cleaner and more traditional for Frank Miller. Both pretty damn cool though. That link that Gene sent us too had one I love of bats vs the leader of the nazi/mutant gang from the original book. If I could have any it would probably be that one!
  9. Are you guys aware this cover sold for 60k before the one this thread is about did? I dig it!
  10. kudos to you Bronty for creating this thread. I have for awhile collected art outside of the comic realm. I happen to have two great examples from my collection up on ebay with no reserve. I dont expect to get my money back for them so please excuse the repeat post as I posted in the for sale section and saw this and thought hey why not =) If you are a fan of some serious skills you have to check these out... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kit-King-Original-Artwork-Painting-Origins-Greg-Simkins-Mark-Ryden-Bansky-/322451582863?hash=item4b139caf8f:g:IngAAOSwOgdYxz69http://www.ebay.com/itm/Craig-Tapecat-Mccudden-Scratchboard-Poster-art-Original-artwork-Concert-Art-/322451585504?hash=item4b139cb9e0:g:IEkAAOSwTM5Yx0Kw thanks, Matthew

  12. I agree the Schultz was a great buy although I feel there are many better Predator examples then this particular one. Nobody mentioned the big time prices for Don Martin artwork and what about that Farside by Gary Larson. Both of those did multiples of what I was expecting.
  13. Some great prices. All you have to do is read the comic credits page in each issue. If you dont I could see how one could find it confusing.
  14. Hello List, I am on the hunt for Doug Anderson Ceramics. Here is a pic of some of my collection of his... and his cookie jars.. please message me if you have any chess sets, cookie jars, etc thanks, Matthew
  15. Here is a link to it on my caf where you can see all the different formats it was published for. Interestingly enough the endoskelaton was removed and replaced for the Pakistan poster. Terminator Poster Art 1984 thanks, Matthew
  16. These are beautiful. I have owned quite a few Movie poster paintings over the years. Unfortunately I had to part with all but one. This is from one of the greatest movie poster artists of all time,Tongdee. Check it out I love movie poster originals and Terry, you have some gems! thanks, Matthew
  17. Nope that is incorrect. It sold on the 17th. Just splitting hairs here. I actually I owned the cover. Who do you think got the overlay made for it. Got it from Danny Miki and Jeff or Tony did the logo for me years ago. I wish I kept this one AGH
  18. It was not available for a couple days. I checked Mike's site and then checked it again after my puppy class( I am trying to get my new Frenchie pup to stop ting on the floor) and it was posted and gone before I had a chance. =)
  19. Thanks for the kudos. I got it from a collector who got it from a Neal Adams Charity auction that Greg gave to him years ago.
  20. Hello, I am a huge fan of Capullo and long time collector of his originals. With everybody posting great pieces I thought I would share mine. Here is my Batman piece. Its actually the piece that got Greg the job on Court of Owls and first time he ever drew Robin. I took a new larger pic of it but just realized my premium membership has expired. Once they update that I will have a bigger pic. Batman and Robin by Greg Capullo thanks, Matthew
  21. Shill bidding is not cool but do you know all the facts? You can say that is not important and this is not important instead of answering them but the fact is you are starting to seem like you are jealous over Mike's position in the hobby. Otherwise why bother spending every waking moment reading and replying for over a week. You should say one thing in one post and thats enough. Personally I think you are a trouble maker and like getting a rise out of people. Unfortunately I know Mike and can only imagine what this is doing to him and that is why I reply back. You are championing a wrong cause. I know the details and when Mike reply's back so will you. Saying anything slanderous before then sends a message bigger then anything you write. And no I dont care what kind of prestige you think slandering Mike has gotten you from this board I dont need to know your name to reply.
