  1. 5 years late, but late than never. Cover on-hand and 2.0 just won from cl. Was gonna hoard them 5 years ago but missed that boat but happy with what i have now
  2. A CGC 5.5 (with chipping) just went on Clink for $23,500 That 5.0 that went for $29.5 may have either been an upgrade candidate or someone just wanted a strong looking 5.0 copy. I had my eyes on that book but I believe its not upgradeable based on grader notes, really sharp looking book
  3. I asked. It's not for sale or coming to market. It was a customer's copy. Roy; You are nothing but a teaser!!! Now that you've got all of the other boardie's panties tied up in knots waiting for your little scan. It's ok theres always comicconnect, comiclink, and heritage
  4. But a Voldy 9.0 AF #15 sold for $237K this past spring. http://scoop.previewsworld.com/Home/4/1/73/1012?ArticleID=176921 The price should be based soley on the book. But i prefer my books to be cgc'd. Makes me feel better. I'm a big warriors fan but don't want curry's under armour shoes. Since durant is now a warrior, i rather wear kd's nike shoes. Name recognition and loyalty plays a big role in my discrimination. Under armour-other company; nike-cgc
  5. Grader notes had a bend and a few creases on the 6.5 that did not break color. Press and rebsubmit? The 5.0 probably at its max grade? But who knows?
  6. the af15 cgc 6.5 that just ended on my comicconnect probably will end up in a new holder with a higher grade?
  7. The entry level market for af15s has exploded in value in the last 3 years. For example looking, at comicconect website i see the asking price as 10k for a 1.5 blue. Going from $10k(entry level) up to $15k(3.5-4.0). My point big jump in grade range for a $5k bump. Hard to put a dollar amount per grade point on this book.
  8. +1 Not out of whack when supply vs demand determines the market The first quote was taken out of context, by the way. The-Collector was referring to Overstreet Guide prices, not market prices. It'll make total sense if you go see the posts Jake was referring to. Thanks for pointing that out
  9. +1 Once today's collectors as a whole quit hyper focusing on collecting major keys, and instead turn their attention to runs, characters, fine stories and art, or other desirable features of collecting non-keys, prices will normalize. Don't hold your breath. I'm only sad that I did not buy more copies 5 years ago
  10. +1 Not out of whack when supply vs demand determines the market
  11. Couple press, good day for the grader, big time customer of cgc submitting books to them. Seen lots of af15s with grade bumps. Pretty common the way i see it
  12. Good job, it is, was gonna mention when it was presented on these boards a few years ago but didn't want to since it belonged to a board member as a 7.0 5.5-7.0-7.5 I've seen a 4.5(ha copy) go to 5.5(my former copy) then a 6.0(last sold by sparklecity)
  13. Heritage has the best scans to determine the actuals gray of af15s. The reds and grays are the most parts of the cover. Lots of time the grays become yellowish and reds become orange
  14. I think many people know where that freshly graded 7.5 came from. That might be a reason why bids are still low. That 6/5 marking does look familiar. Press 7.0 to 7.5
  15. Two boardies have said 7.0's have sold privately in the $65K range. I wouldn't be surprised if that is round about what the one on the boards also went for. -J. considering the price was lowered to $62k and it sold not long after, i'd say that was the # I'm priced out of this new market price. Glad i bought my 2 7.0s before this price explosion
  16. Chris and I completed our transaction in 1 day. Payment was immediate. Great board member
  17. I agree, but we should make that argument with the golden age collectors, some people over there use the available supply of af15 as easily obtainable and one just needs "money" to purchase one
  18. grays are very clean, and have not become yellowish, no mc! Nice!
