  1. thought I saw Steve B post he had gotten the book in via heritage for a consignor...maybe I mis read?
  2. Anyone know why the consignor to heritage had the book sent to CBCS vs CGC (just curious)
  3. good point...I wonder how the owner was able to flip the book over so evenly, to equally fade both sides (of just the red, mind you)
  4. The back cover is also absent of red. That tells me not faded but actually low/no red ink
  5. Many of the pre arrow funny pages are rarely seen (and probably rarely collected too )
  6. Funny Pages 2/6 first issue published under the Centaur publisher
  7. Also remember every other time I sold I then proceeded to successfully put the run back together (I think 4-5x). We all "collect " differently for a myriad of reasons.
  8. Market is cyclical for sure and I do recycle money to books to money, etc that said I buy and sell comics because I enjoy it...Its fun, can be profitable and I do try to time the market (or even make a market) if I can But I like the challenge every bit as much ...typically once I've owned I'm ok selling (hopefully profitably, though many times not).
  9. Always miss comics ive sold that enjoyed collecting ... just not willing these days to pay what I consider unrealistic to sustain prices
  10. I sold all mine. I think they will likely still appreciate, but I was not comfortable in this market holding them , so got out bc made sense to me
  11. There are varying degrees of marvel chipping. Kind of like slight vs extensive. While any mc should affect value, the more chipping the lower the value
  12. I've been touting no mc , better eye appeal books for as long as I've been a reseller. That 5.0 looked better than many 7.0s. (Bc stains kept technical grade down). Mc copies will continue to lag behind non mc copies. They really always have , but the spreads were not as noticeable as they are in today's accelerated pricing.
  13. Funny Pages 2/5 5th D Ryan funny animal themed cover that started volume 2 interesting to note that these 5 Ryan covered issues were actually published under the Ultem banner (post comics magazine and pre centaur )
  14. We expect it to sell for fmv. We don't expect it to sell at an eye appeal premium
  15. All I know is the windows scanner settings stink. Scans made on my microtek which used to be wonderful are dull and lifeless now
  16. Wonder Woman tries to teach about being healthy ...or something like that.
  17. I haven't found Art a batman 1 yet, but I'm always on the lookout !
  18. Yikes. I hope no one would place an eye appeal premium on that copy
  19. Wish Windows 10 supported microtek scanner drivers. Ugh. Photo is not easy
