  1. I bought the book as a 1.5 from heritage (fc was detached)..it was never a 1.8, I'm afraid... an action 1 had just recently gone from 1.5 to 2.5 by having the FC "taped" back to the book... so I figured I could do the same thing... and so, added just a sliver of tape and had it graded...came back 2.5 (there was already a precedent set with the action 1)... keep in mind, this was 6 or 7 years ago, before cgc's stance on tape changed...wouldn't work in today's environment, and I believe book would still be a 1.5
  2. Oddest was what we believe was a rat tooth
  3. Admittedly I have never seen an eerie ashcan sell. I will be at San Diego con like I have been every year since 1988 and can probably be found somewhere between the Bunky brothers booth and bedrock city, but I am not setting up this year per se
  4. I've sold multiple 4.5s for 20 and 22k in last 6 months. And I have the best of the 3 cgc 4.5s still available ...even I don't think a 4.5 is even a 25k book let alone 30+. One sale does not a market make. Geesh.
  5. Funny Pages 11 try finding one of these at your local 7-11!
  6. Actually, last year I made a raw 3.0 sell for over $1000 on heritage! in 2009 I bought every copy of superman 14 that came on the public market ... it was 24 copies and I believe I single-handedly raised the market about 20% by bidding/winning them made all 24 available at nycc 2010, at a marginal markup , and sold the majority that weekend
  7. Not according to Borock. He is 100% sure it's the mile high
  8. I was the under bidder on the action 1. The winner was willing to goto 400k (I heard after auction ended ). If folks remember I predicted it would sell for 317 k bc I knew that's what I was willing to pay.
  9. Seems most superman 1s are 1.0-2.5 at 3.0 and above probably closer to 75k a point (or more). Mid grade expect 100k a point last year multiple 1.5-2.0s sold around 50k a point. This year , who knows! but yes, entry level typically gets higher avg bc most feel it's only opportunity. So they might consider paying /stretching 70k for a nice 1.0 bc they can't afford 100k for a 1.8
  10. 1.0 is likely entry level. It means more folks will consider this the best chance to get in and likely pay more then say a 2.0 or 2.5 or 1.8
  11. Smart money is duke, nc, Oregon, Arizona wouldnt shock me if duke won it from that group
  12. Keep in mind past results are being re-written every day. Supes 1 could jump to 75k + without notice.
  13. Batman 1 has been 30-35k a point avg superman 1 has been 50k or so a point. Entry level will vary
  14. He sent me an interior fc shot. No ct bleed through that I could see
  15. I sold 2 copies of fantastic 3 at sdcc 2010 or 2011 ? And I believe I had emailed Fishler first and he passed on both
  16. I have seen far more suspense 3 available in the market over the past 10 years then fantastic 3
