  1. Nice books Rick!! hello all.. thanks...as soon as I get a few more in, I will post some group shots and some of the pre robin tec's singley... thanks rick
  2. ....finally, a raw, unrestored 52.... that's it for tonight... thanks rick
  3. ....again, I bought this little run from Metro, 48 and 49 from same collection, it appears... thanks rick
  4. hello all... thought I would add a few new purchases to the thread... thanks rick
  5. hello all... I want to publicly thank Jay for letting me purchase this copy, and add it to my Tec collection... you're a good man, jay! rick ps-Jay also had a wonderful tec 40 I was looking for !
  6. hello all... I hope jay does not mind me answering...from the heritage archives, it is an Ext Prof vf/nm (9.0) thanks rick
  7. hello all... beauty on the 30...that is exactly the kind of book I am looking for... thanks rick
  8. hello all... I have restricted my tec collecting (for the time being) to issues 27-53 (I like the long ear logo covers)...is there anyone on the list (other than Ian) that has completed this run, and if so, what were the toughest ones for you to find at a reasonable price?...as I near completion, I will post some individual jpgs, and I have updated my want list in the signature line...I love restored books (for the look and the value), so if anyone has any of them (or unrestored, or CGC, etc), PM me (really want that 31 on clink, but can't squeeze the juice to swing it right now) ...just a note, I know where at least one copy of each of my wants list are right now, but most are priced higher than I can afford, so looking for "new" options if anyone has them ... thanks rick
  9. hello all... does anyone know who owns the tec 29, restored that is on clink?...I missed this book selling via heritage a few months ago at $4k, and I have offered $5500 for it via clink, but the seller has not even responded or countered at all?...just curious if they are on this board and if they really want to sell the book , or if I am barking up the wrong tree...if anyone knows, please PM me thanks rick
  10. hello all... I like it!....I am actually still working on a 38, so great pick up rick
  11. Did you see the Detective #31 8.0 on comiclink? hello all... yes, I see the 8.0, and have thought about it quite a bit, as it is truly a stunning piece!...but, unfortunately, I like "restored" books that look nice, because the price point is typically better/much better than unrestored (I know of 2 fn to vf restored 31 in the sub $8K range that are available right now, that look great for the money, but even then, I think I might do better)...the clink 8.0 book is priced a little too "strong" for me, relatively speaking (relative to other, albeit more heavily restored, copies)...if that book was $10K ish, I would be all over it, so if anyone knows who owns it that needs to sell, lmk rick
  12. hello all... I agree, it is a GREAT book and the restro only made a great looking book look better...and kept the price out of the stratosphere! hope to have a 27 and 29 soon to show rick
  13. Outstanding Rick!! I love this book so much I commissioned Shelley Moldoff to do a cover recreation for me. He did a marvelous job. hello all... would love to see that! rick
  14. hello all... received the tec 35 (a mini grail for me) today....anyone know who owns the tec 29 on clink?....emailed an offer, but no response?...now, if I can get the 27 off heritage, will be fairly easy to complete my long ear logo tec run (I know where 4 or 5 #31's are for sale, and the others are readily available, so will attack that next).... love the white pages on this 35! thanks rick
  15. hello all... the book looks good to me (but scan is "cleaner")....definitely tell there has been extensive restoration, but fairly good job.... I compared the back cover to a former heritage auction, and they look the same, but admittedly, I have not owned a 7 since 1994, so I can't recall... rick
  16. Mind if I ask where you got it? Details! hello all... dont mind at all...I saw an ebay seller that listed a detective book I was interested in, and within the text of his description, he had one of those "will be listing soon...." type lines... so I bought it rick
  17. hello all... while most know me as a "batman" kind of guy, could not resist picking this up.... rick
  18. hello all... the Tec 28 is professional resto (by matt nelson I believe)...was a g/vg? and now is 8.0 VF (color touch, pieces added, spine and cf reinforcement)....he (they) did a nice job indeed...picked it up from Sam in your neck of the woods, Illinois (a fellow vette enthusiasts....he is selling his comics to pay for his 64 vette, I sold my ferrari to buy tec's!, but kept my 63 vette!) should have my resto5.5 #35 soon....paid 1/6th of the crippin price, so I am relatively happy thanks rick
  19. hello all... thought I would post a shot of some of my earlier tec's....like greg, going for a run, but likely only 27-200ish.... need an "affordable" 27 thanks rick
  20. hello all... newforcecomics= newforcecomics.... I know, "very creative" rick
  21. hello all... Looking forward to SDCC to see if I can complete or come close, the Batman run (my customer is concentrating on the GA issues right now, to about issue 150, but we only have about 1/2 of them, as my customer is kind of picky, predominantly only wants mid/high 5.0 to 8.0 unrestored issues)...want to thank all the great folks out there that have assisted me, answered questions, etc...this board has been extremely helpful rick
