  2. hello all... MF 53 for me, too...easy choice for me, as I have never been a Cap fan, so spectre by default.... rick
  3. hello all... yes, 85 is a wonderful book...currently on my want list too rick
  4. hello all... my fav of all the dollman covers! rick
  5. hello all... love tec 37...wish I had more of them rick
  6. hello all... Tec 38, all the way...AF 15 is super nice, too rick
  7. hello all.. and you know what is weird, I cannot find an unrestored tec 36 anywhere?....none on clink, metro has 2 restored ones, auctioning a restored one, I own a restored one, so I would say the 36 is the 3rd toughest (at least for me) unrestored tec (next to 28 and 29) to find out of all of them from 28-53...sign of the times? rick Must be. As you know I just sold an unrestored 34. Perhaps collectors are hanging onto their 36's right now. hello all... yes, I know, would have LOVED to of bought it, but I was a little late to the party ... now someone pony up with an unrestored 36 for me! rick
  8. hello all.. and you know what is weird, I cannot find an unrestored tec 36 anywhere?....none on clink, metro has 2 restored ones, auctioning a restored one, I own a restored one, so I would say the 36 is the 3rd toughest (at least for me) unrestored tec (next to 28 and 29) to find out of all of them from 28-53...sign of the times? rick
  9. hello all... my observation is limited to the past year ...bill, you have a mountain of past info, compared to my molehill...but, in the past year, I have seen at least 2x as many action 6's for sale in varying conditions, and very few tec 34's....now, in the grand scheme, I suspect tec 34 is more common, but looking at current market: 5 Action 6 have been offered or sold via comic link in past couple of months (heck, 4 of them are listed right now)...no Tec 34's (score 5-0)...Metro has one action 6 for sale, and one tec 34 (score 6-1)....I have seen 2 action 6's on ebay recently, one tec 34 (score 8-2), and I have seen multiple action 6 on heritage, and only two tec 34 ( one I just won last week).......Metro has one action 34 for auction now...so, I count 10+ action 6's in the past few months, and 4 tec 34's...just an observation rick
  10. hello all... the Tec 34 is MUCH tougher to locate unrestored, especially in above Fn condition...Action 6's are more "common" comparitively speaking...so Tec 34 for me... rick ps-this tec 34 is being auctioned right now by metro
  11. hello all... no piece missing from the bottom right cover, but there is a small triangular color fleck missing...the paper is still there, kind of like scraping icing off a cake... rick
  12. hello all... how about detective31kid rick
  13. hello all... okey dokey, I will keep it, "cuz" rick
  14. hello all... Peter, tis I, your old buddy Rick, formerly "newforcecomics"....I was inspired by your id, and someone else posted "why don't we have a detective27kid", so I have temp changed my id (will change back, eventually) rick
  15. hello all... posted this in the detective thread, but wanted to publicly thank Mark, Esquirecomics, for this beaut... rick
  16. hello all... a couple of new additions to the family...the 31 is courtesy of our very own EsquireComics (thanks Mark!)... thanks rick
  17. hello all... given that I just got my "name change" approved, I think my choice is obvious....this is my Tribute to Peter (action1kid), but since I am a detective kind of guy, thought it would be nice to have rick
  18. hello all... as a GL fan, and with AA 16 one of my "grails", easy choice...had not even considered owning the other rick
  19. hello all now that is a 6 figure book! (I believe E. Roberts owns it, if I am not mistaken) rick
  20. hello all.. I would go with the Tec in a heartbeat (actually, that is what I am doing)... to give you some cost comparisons, I offered an owner of a tec 29 vg- copy (.5 from the g/vg) $10K and he turned me down (he wanted $15K, so I way passed), so I suspect I would pay at least $8-$10 K for a nice looking 29 in 3.0 or so....I think a 31 unrestored in 3.0 would fetch at least $8K-$10K ...the 33 closer to $7500...the 36 would be close to $3-4000, and the 37 I paid more than that for a 2.5...heck, it took $2390 to get a 3.0 #34 NON bat cover from heritage this week, that is what ,4x guide? just a current price comparison on the Tec's, as I don't know the Cap market at all... rick
  21. hello all...it was a restored/trimmed one (#36 I think)...just a reader copy, so I didn't mind him looking at it, but I was unaware of the cheetos, until I went to put the book back in the box, and saw the residue... rick
  22. hello all... pretty much sums it up, but likely going to work on whiz now, trying to get some pre bat tecs as I have funds...I have restored copies of the ones I need unrestored, but the run is pretty much done...will wait until I get the 27 from Matt (restoring now, due in december to me), and I am waiting on the 32 (deal not done till Dec, too) , and will post a "group" shot of them all rick Oh! I saw your Tec 27 last weekend at Matt's. It will come out very nice!! hello all... cool...I hope you took some time to sit down and read it...I just want to make sure you didn't have cheetos hands when you did... (my son just "cheetos" hands one of my early bats i was letting him look at...tough stuff to get off...) rick
