  1. Just curious... If you had to choose between Silver Surfer 1 and Silver Surfer 4, would you still pick SS4 as the best? I suppose that's a rhetorical question as you just said you think 4 is the best cover but SS1 is so hard to beat. To me, Surfer 1 isn't a comicbook cover, it's more like a poster! And I haven't looked in a while but does OSPG still refer to SS4 as rare?
  2. Strange Tales 146... Mickey Demeo -Inker? ( M. Esposito)
  3. I thought it might've been that book but it looked to me like his signature was on a large wrist.
  4. It's really difficult to find sigs that can't be instantly read. Thankfully, many artists/writers/creators have horrible handwriting. Here's a link to the last Sig Contest if you want to see what they look like. LINK Okay, some of those are very difficult!
  5. Thanks... yeah, that's certainly a hefty charge. I guess I have a dozen questions now too. Anyways, I just started thinking about how difficult a signature contest could be! . I'm guessing you're not using signatures like Steranko and Romita, right?!
  6. This is ComicConnect as in Comic Connect, right? Is this in relation to that weird ASM 8.0 book?
  7. I've got a list a mile long of questions about this.... And your signature game sounds like fun, Ditch.
  8. That's a pretty amazing picture! Scary too... definitely looks like the end.
  9. Yes! That's the one...documenting our roots. Thank you! And thanks for that other link, Mike! I never saw that thread before.
  10. Does anyone still have a link or file saved of the piece that Flee did some time ago? I did a search but didn't come up with anything ...
  11. Not a bad trade, Gabriel and good luck with your current sales thread.
  12. Hey Gabriel, Just watched a few of your videos and that JLA1 video that I mentioned was indeed yours. A couple of your books jumped out at me... Batman 4 and Action 15. Two favorites of mine! If you haven't found a repro cover for either of those books, I'm sure someone here on the boards can help. (Fedoraman) From my experience, I've found it very difficult to complete, incomplete books but there is a section in the Gold area called 'I wanna get married' and you may have some luck there. I see you have an interest in coins too... that small silver lot was a good deal at $40. Even with as low as melt is today, it might be a good idea to hang onto those. One question though... On your first page, you indicate that your efforts have put you at a negative $2000+, yet you're showing sales of a TOS39, IH 180-182 and a commission from an AF15. I'm guessing all of your purchases aren't listed on that first page unless I missed something. Based on those sales (of some very strong books), I'm thinking you should be slightly ahead.
  13. Just bought a very nice CGC book from Bobby... very easy to deal with and courteous. Book arrived safely! Thanks again, Bobby!
  14. It's funny... Just as you mentioned wanting to pick up a 'Tec 70, now I'm thinking a lot about ASM 121 and 122!
  15. It's hard to believe that Ms. Marvel 1 is nearly a 40 year old book... As for that 8.5, I'd say it's a very good return on your investment! And I have to say that I really enjoyed your latest Gwen post and your recollection of falling off your bike. Maybe what's behind the current Gwen interest is just what you wrote about. A popular character deeply rooted in Spider-Man's history whose story is tragically cut short. In my opinion, ASM 121 / 122 is probably one of the most defining classics of the Bronze Age and it should come as no surprise that it's sort of receiving a bit of a revival. It's been many years since I read that story arc but for me, the memories of first reading those two issues are seared into my mind as a modern day tragedy. The unforgettable scenes of Spider-Man failing to save the woman that he loved the most, the dialogue between the two NYPD... the confrontation between a sunken eyed Peter Parker and a wacked out Harry, the Goblin's 'death' and ultimately the intensely dramatic Epilogue with MJ, have been with me since. (And I hope that I got the issues and chronology right.)

Didnt really understand this. She had one eye. Fish has one i in it. Seems like that would have been the best time to call her Fish. She was Fish Mooney when she had two eyes. When she was missing an eye, she was Fsh. See? MISSING AN EYE... FSH MOONEY... -slym What do you call a deer with one eye? Sorry...
  17. I'm sorry I don't and I'm not sure if I could find it again... basically it was someone showing lower grade copies of JLA1 and mentioning that they were on the lookout for them to hold and sell later as the movie approaches. Just a feeling but I think what they're planning for Superman V Batman will set some amazing groundwork for that!
  18. You certainly have a plan and I wish you luck... I think I recently saw a video of yours on YT but I wasn't sure if that was you. If it was, again... best of luck and keep up the hunt!

I was wondering about that too.
  20. I said White and Gold. Trick question? And the Pringles Cat makes me laugh every time!
  21. That was pretty amazing.... Loved the Immigrant Song finale! Isn't it? I've probably listened to it 5 times now. Here's an earlier class doing Crazy Train. Awesome!
  22. That was pretty amazing.... Loved the Immigrant Song finale!
