  1. Very nice book! There are exceptions, of course, but I have noticed chipping more common on well-centered covers. But every book is different and nice as well!
  2. The 4.0 that just sold was very nicely centered without chipping. Probably why it went for such a good price.
  3. I am mixed on Marvel Chipping. My AF 15 has it, my Hulk 1 and FF1 and X-Men 1 do not. The thing I have noticed with AF15 is chipping is that it seems like a lot of the books with Marvel Chipping tend to be better centered. Mine has chipping but is perfectly centered. There are exceptions but a lot of AF15s without chipping are off centered and ones with chipping seems to be better centered. My son also noticed this. Anyone ever notice this as well?
  4. An Amazing Fantasy 15 in CGC 4.0 just sold for $35,850 on Hakes auctions! Another really strong sale. Hake's - AMAZING FANTASY #15 AUGUST 1962 CGC 4.0 VG (FIRST SPIDER-MAN).
  5. True..but at least the price is going up over the past 2 years.
  6. There were sales of two cgc 4.5s in January for 38,400 and then 32,500. Based on this, I believe a 5.0 should be close to 40k right now. I also own a 5.0!
  7. Gocollect seems to miss a lot of sales. I recently emailed them about a Hulk 1 in cgc 5.0 that sold on comiclink for 20,350. They said they were having difficulty recently obtaining comiclink sales. This sale is still not showing and there are lots more as well that are missing. I enjoy their site and subscribe to it but wish it was more up to date and inclusive.
  8. I bought one for 15k off IG a few days ago What grade did you buy? W
  9. There was a Hulk 1 in CGC 5.0 that sold about a month ago in acomiclink auction for $20,350. I sent Gocollect the sale and they said they have had some diffciulty getting information from Comiclink lately.
  10. Thanks...I also see the sale reflected in GPA. This bodes well for my 7.5!
  11. Thanks what auction site is that? I dont think I have seen that one.
  12. Where did the Strange Tales in cgc 6.5 sell for 5,850?
  13. Fantastic Four 1 in cgc 5 0 sold for $24K on Heritage tonight. I hope this is a sign that this book is heating up again!
  14. I have both GPA and GoCollect. They each of their advantages and disadvantages. To me, the biggest weakness of GPA is the lack of Comiclink sales. Many good books are sold in Comiclink auctions at good prices that never make GPA. For GoCollect, they are very inconsistent posting sales. For example, say 10 books sell in a ComicLink auction, go collect might post 3 or 4 sales within a few days while the others might never appear. The same holds true for Ebay and Heritage sales in GoCollect. I use them both regularly as I want as much informaiton as possible when purchasing a book.
  15. Is a hulk 1 starting to move again? Last night on Comiclink.
  16. The 4.0 was a good sale and a 4.5 closed on heritage a few days ago for $38,400 and it had some chipping. Hopefully, this book is fianlly coming back!!
  17. The book is nice but it is very tanned, especially the back cover. I think thats why it got a 4.0.
  18. I am a subscriber to Marvel Unlimited and DC Universe but didnt keep track of my reading last year. I will this year. Sounds like fun!
  19. It seems like lots of silverage books are doing really well in that comiclink auction!!
  20. I understand what you are saying. I was just saying that I haven't seen much difference in grading among the many slabs that I own and find cgc to be pretty consistent over the years and different cases. I would also be upset if I submitted a book, got it pressed, and it came back a lower grade.
