  1. Do certified books have to be sent to my comicshop when you consign them for a sales listing or into one of their auctions?
  2. Yep..that was what I thought when I read it. The only reason I want to reholder some of my 2nd generation slabs is due to some of them have a minor crack. But now there is a risk of a lower grade? I have had books reholdered in the past and they were all fine so this seems kinda strange.
  3. I think this waiver is not right as a comicbook should be able to be removed from its holder without any damage or color lift or whatever, especially if it being removed by the company that certified it. I have several books that I want reholdered, mostly the 2nd generation holder. Is that holder safe for removal? I have had a few books reholdered in the past with no issues.
  4. I love the guide. My first one was #8 in 1978 when I was 13. Since that time, I have purchased everyone usually on the date of release. It is a great book and I love reading the market reports as well as just flipping throught it looking at the pictures and prices. Also, the ads are fun to look at as well! I do miss the April release date and wish they would move the date back.
  5. Bought 2 Hulks and they were packed well and shipped fast! Thanks!!
  6. Yep.. and a 5.0 sold for 37,200 a week ago. I think that is a pretty good sale and it had chipping.
  7. If a seller sells a book, say for $500, on Ebay and it gets lost by USPS during shipping, would the USPS accept the price it was sold for on Ebay as the value of the book as it would have been insured for $500 and the closed Ebay sales listing can be given to them to prove the price it sold for?
  8. I am wondering highest grade with actual rust..the brownish coating on staples.
  9. Thanks..I read that. Anyone with high grade books and rusty staples?
  10. Hi everyone, I was wondering what is the highest grade a book can get with rusty staples? I have an X-MEN 3 in 9.0 with rusty staples. I bought it already slabbed and since it was graded in December 2019, the rust must have been there when it was graded. Its a beautiful book other than the rust on the staples. What have you all seen out there? Jeff
  11. There were several that closed last night. There is another thread on this in the general forums.
  12. There were several other Early Spidermans sold including an ASM 14 in 7.0 with restoration and a blue label. It went for full gpa of an unrestored book. Buyer beware.
  13. The Amazing Spiderman auctions I was following on Ebay with several of these mislabeled books just closed and all went for full values of an unrestored book. These were early Spidermans in the thousands of dollars. This was a big mistake on CGCs part in my opinion. Buyer beware.
  14. I must have missed that thread. This is so misleading and the books with this restoration and blue labels are going for very strong prices.
  15. Hi everyone, I posted this in the ask CGC section but no replies yet. I am curious what some of you guys think about this: I saw an Amazing Spiderman 9 in cgc 8.5 with a spiderman speciality label. This book was a blue label but had the top edge of cover trimmed and color touch. This restoration is disclosed on the label but it is still a blue label book. There is no mention of the restoration above the numerical grade. How can a restored book with trimming and color touch get a blue label? There are also several other books with the Spiderman label and different degrees of restoration. This is very misleading to the buyer of the book. I think it should be a purple spiderman speciality label as to not mislead a buyer. Jeff

  17. I just received my 2nd book form the May auction. At least it finally came.
