  1. I buy lots of silver-age CGC books and was just using this one as an example as I just received it. I really don't see much of a difference from the books I have purchased whether they are in new cases and recently graded, or new cases graded a few years ago, or even against the 1st and 2nd generation holders. Most books are graded spot on to me, a few may be under-graded and a few over-graded but always within a half a point either way. Also, several of the books in the pictures above are not from CGC.
  2. Terrific transaction! Had the book super fast and packed well! Thanks!!
  3. This is interesting. I just purchased a silver age book off the boards here in cgc 9.0. I checked the serial number and it was graded on 9/4/20. The book looks to me to be a borderline 9.0 so at least on this book, I don't see anything super strict.
  4. Take Sgt Fury Annual 1 as per PM and thanks!
  5. Beautiful book..Did you mail the book to them?
  6. Thank you for the very nice Avengers #8 and the super fast shipping!! I appreciate it!
  7. My Sgt Fury 2 arrived quickly and was packed well. Thank you for a very smooth transaction!
  8. I would also prefer the 9.2. Higher grade means a nicer book to me.
  9. Yes,..its excellent on a tablet. It is also very comprehensive.
  10. I haven't read any of them as I only buy slabbed books. I did go to comic book stores once a week from 1985 through 2015 for my weekly books and I read them all. Now I read about 5 to 10 books a week on Marvel Unlimited.
  11. i agree..the holder should never damage the book. If a book needs a reholder, say due to cracks, there should be no risk of damage when CGC removes it from the old slab. I think this is wrong and if the holder can damage the book, then they new holder.
  12. Beautiful book. I have same book in 8.0 and it was one of the hardest Spidey's to find in 8.0 or better when I put together my 1 to 50 set. Enjoy it. Its a beauty!
  13. Journey into Mystery 50 in CGC 7.0 Off-White Pages $500 shipped. I have been on the boards here for a long time and a received a few KUDOS from a few purchases I have made. My KUDOS is at: jeffreyk1965 or https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/246246-jeffreyk1965-kudos/ Also, I have already sold my Marvel Masterwork and Omnibus collection on Ebay and occasionally list books for sale on Ebay. My Ebay ID is: jeffk1965. The rules: No HOS or people on the probation list. No returns on graded on books but if a book arrives damages, please contact me and we will resolve the issue promptly. I plan to double box all books and they will be shipped by US Priority Mail. Shipping cost is included in the price. Payment via Paypal, personal check (must clear first); or money order. United States Sales sales only. I am sorry but no international shipping. The first “I Will Take It” triumphs any PMs. Journey into Mystery 50 in CGC 7.0 Off-White Pages $500 shipped. The majority of the wear is in the lower right corner as can be seen in the pictures. The book is slightly crooked in the slab.
  14. Do certified books have to be sent to my comicshop when you consign them for a sales listing or into one of their auctions?
  15. Yep..that was what I thought when I read it. The only reason I want to reholder some of my 2nd generation slabs is due to some of them have a minor crack. But now there is a risk of a lower grade? I have had books reholdered in the past and they were all fine so this seems kinda strange.
