Here's my progress so far on the HoM run including what I have beyond #200. (thumbs u

 

I thought I'd post these here to share my progress so far. I've been working on compiling a set of Mexican editions of House of Mystery with covers by Neal Adams and Bernie Wrightson. I was also able to pick up the #174 (just couldn't resist) and am now at the point of needing only two more books (#s179 & 191) to complete the Adams/Wrightson cover set up to #200. I included the pics I have of the Wrightson covers past #200 for good measure, kinda figured some of you might appreciate seeing them. (thumbs u

 

I only need two more Novaro House of Mystery issues to finish the Adams and Wrightson covers, if I push it to five books I'll have a solid run from #174 through #200.

once in a while some ocassional sellers appears here in my beautiful city...and we are(the collectors) ready to catch them !!! sometimes we are lucky, some times not...

 

but the most i get it from mexican sellers...

I've been dealing with a seller in Mexico City that has books this nice but for the most part anything I see offered for sale is low to mid-grade at best. You seem to do pretty well finding higher grade books. (thumbs u

I've got this coming from Barbarian, he found it in a comic shop in Portugal. It's a complete (almost) bound run of Ebal Wrightson & Wein Swamp Thing. It's missing #7 but it's just too cool to pass up, especially since it's bound with a green cover.

It would be cool to put together a SS set of the JLA related annuals from that year, Wrightson did the cover on all of them.

KG Murray did a lot of DC stuff that was distributed in Australia and the UK. Very cool.

Look.. I know this isn't very exciting. But I found it interesting, given it's an "Australian" re-print issue... I'm estimating 1982. No freaking idea how to stick it in collectorz.com software. hahahaha.

I'm curious to find out where you guys are picking up all of these foreign books. Ebay outside the USA?

Sometimes. A lot of the time it involves contacting sellers on foreign auction sites (other than ebay), developing a relationship with them (sometimes they don't like to ship internationally) and in some cases greasing a palm here and there to get them to search out specific books. It's fairly time consuming and often times you can end up searching for a book for months or even years.

I didn't even notice that.
