  1. This ones a beaut. I wonder what those "awful things" are that she's talking about?
  2. I haven't seen the Three Aces before and that's a great looking copy. Though they're just begging to be robbed with that box labeled "gold" showing on an open cart. The WC #11 is one of my favorite covers of the series and you summed it up perfectly... "Too cool".
  3. I'll gladly take the blame... and the books as punishment. That should make your wife feel better. I haven't seen that Little Miss Sunbeam before and those are the definition of sharp corners. Very pretty book.
  4. I agree on the Mr. B. comment. Great looking Western Fighters. That's also a great scene with the kid on the Jimmy Wakely. All the Toth stories inside don't hurt either.
  5. Thanks, though it's probably more newsworthy that there are still some people out there that appreciate western comics.
  6. Great looking, blinding white copy. The split wouldn't bother me at all with this one. And at $15-$25 per book.....those were definitely the days.
  7. Thanks Andy, it was the only non large size Star Ranger I was actively searching for and my hart did go pitter pat when I first saw it for sale. Then there was a month of waiting to see if GATOR was going to bid on it . Also, besides the cool Wildey cover on Mikeyc's Outlaw Kid, it has 3 Wildey stories.
  8. I had this book on my want list for 6 or 7 years until picking it up in the Berk auction.
  9. Resurrecting this thread with a Heath cover.
  10. This is a great cover. There are a lot of underappreciated Charlton gems out there.
  11. I like this D Ryan cover. The frog and pelican scene in the foreground is a good touch. A much prettier copy than your old copy too.
  12. Beautiful book. For me, Flessel's about as good as it gets in the Golden Age and this is one of his best.
  13. I always liked this cover but the facial expression on the guy on the right creeps me out.
  14. One of my favorite war covers. Nice looking copy too.
