  1. I agree, some nice covers. Also, per GCD, I see that the St. John #23 and #24 reprint stories from the Z-D #15 and #16.
  2. Thanks for the info. I have a beat up #23 but didn't realize the St. John's were a continuation of the Ziff-Davis series. GCD shows a year gap between the end of the Z-D run and the St. John's.
  3. I added this book to my want list after seeing Bo_Hogg's copy from the first post of this thread (back cover is purple). I got a copy a while ago but just noticed that Bo_Hogg's pics were wiped out by Photobucket. Hopefully they'll eventually get reposted because it would be a shame for the boards to lose a record of all the rare items he's posted through the years.
  4. This is another good Sparkler cover and a nice looking copy. I love how they have a violent wartime themed cover but then add the little insets of Capt. and the Kids, Nancy, etc... Really going for a broad market.
  5. Great looking copy and one of my favorites too. I love the grey background on this cover.
  6. Another good Schwab cover and a great looking copy (even with the missing corner). I was looking for a decent copy for 5 or 6 years and all of a sudden 3 of them come up for auction in about 3 months (Berk's being the last). I won the second one offered but had to get it re-holdered. A big coincidence that it's due back the same day you post this copy.
  7. What an awesome find gadzukes. You have a lot of great reading ahead of you.
  8. We finally get to the good stuff. (I have the Windy City by the way.)
  9. This is a funny one that I don't think I've seen before. I like the kid getting blasted off his feet by the fire hydrant. That was a great and obviously tough run of Star Comics. Thanks for posting them.
  10. Definitely one of my favorite Planet covers too. A great looking copy.
  11. Great list and it's hard to disagree with your top 3. 9 different issues of TTLR listed so far.
  12. I love the cover too and a great looking copy. Also the last pre-code issue. A quick scan through Atlas Tales shows this as being the only Doug Wildey Atlas cover. (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Always happy to find a new addition to the want list.
  13. Great list. I went through the Star section of GCD and the L.B. Cole Black Light book and came up with my own top 10. (Surprised by a few that didn't make it but I'm sticking to it). 14. I'll guess the Secrets of Love #14, TTLR #11 and Love Stories #8? Along with TTLR #14, I'd also be curious to know what your other top 5 Cole romance book is.
  15. Thanks guys. I also just saw this 4Most in your group shot lbcolefan. One of many cool books you've picked up this year.
  16. Both great looking copies of TTLR 14. Definitely one of my favorites. Too bad for the seller's remorse lbcolefan. I'm a big fan of the Cole romance books even though I only have a few myself.
  17. Nice Kinstler books Sqeggs. I especially like the inside front covers he did for Avon. Like this one, they're almost always excellent. I'd also recommend the Kinstler bio by Jim Vadeboncoeur, Jr. Very interesting and full of great examples of Kinstler's art.
  18. I'm a big fan of the Ryan Centaur covers. This is a great looking copy too.
