  1. I agree. Usually Avon "only" called them savages or referred to massacres in the title.
  2. #3. (Maybe some day I'll figure out how to put pictures in order on the new boards. )
  3. Sqeggs posted the Geronimo #4 earlier but here are the other two that Kinstler did covers on. #2
  4. I don't know how rare or valuable these are but I do know that they are very cool (especially the Terry).
  5. Another good Boy Detective cover and great looking copy. The cops should be embarrassed though for letting the kid lead them through the door in a guns drawn situation.
  6. Yes, the black and white facing page is the unusual one. (I called it the splash page but maybe the inside cover is the splash for this book)? I'd be curious if adamstrange or Scrooge have seen that on any others.
  7. Very cool and I love that the original boxes are shown with most of them.
  8. What a great looking copy of a super tough book.
  9. Thanks. I've seen some 30's books where some of the stories are color and others black and white but The Unknown Man is the first I've seen where only the splash is b & w and the rest of the book in color.
  10. I've always liked the cover to this one but never saw the insides before. Is the whole book black and white or just the inside cover and splash page?
  11. Some good war covers there but this one's really calling my name. Love it.
  12. I still need a copy of this one. Another great inside cover too. Here's my only U.S. Tank Commandos. I must have misplaced it though so no inside pics.
  13. I'd say Kinstler. To me, the face of the paratrooper looks like others he's done and the face of the Korean (?) even has that strong hatching like the one on the Steve Savage posted above. Also, U.S. Tank Commando #3 even has those rectangular thumb nails.
  14. I didn't notice that before. That's a well done switch from Kit Carson's gun to Whip Wilson's whip.
  15. Does anyone in comics have a longer cover sig than Kinstler? Here's the inside front cover to the Geronimo #4.
  16. Nice book and one of the few reprints on my want list. I don't have the Kit Carson #2 but I have this British version that I picked up in one of Jimjum's cool sales threads.
  17. I think this was the first book (of many) I ever cracked out of a CGC holder.
  18. Some cool books so far. Here's another White Princess.
  19. This Parole Breakers #3 came out 7 months after the Kit Carson. Completely different genres but there are strong similarities between the two.
  20. Let's see your Kinstler art. Comics, pulps, paperbacks, OA, etc... I'll start it off with Kit Carson #3 (Mr.B has a great copy of this one).
  21. Some more nice ones and I especially like the Rusty Riley.
  22. Good to see you're starting the thread again. The Siegel and Shuster signed Superman puzzle is still a favorite of mine.
