  1. That Headline #9 is a great cover. I love the black cat at the end of the broom.
  2. Great book. BSV has two meanings, right? The publisher and "Board Sale Verysoon".
  3. I like this one and don't think I've ever seen it before. The nice clear blue sky makes this look un-Atlas like. Really stands out from the normal Atlas war book.
  4. I can't think of many "gory" Atlas covers either. Astonishing #30 is one of my favorites though.
  5. This is a nice looking copy and I just noticed #5 is the only Beatrice book with a Schomburg signature (fact of the day).
  6. Nothing great here, but just a couple books I enjoyed. Some good stories and some decent art. Being new to the romance genre, I'm honestly surprised that I've enjoyed reading romance books as much as I have, even though there are a lot of "I forgive you darling" last panel kisses. On another note, I'm about half way through the Fantagraphics Simon and Kirby "Young Romance" book. Some great stuff in there.
  7. Cool books and backstory. I always assumed DC was sold everywhere (due to Superman). I'm sure going through your collection and posting them here is bringing back a lot of memories for you. It must be fun.
  8. This is another great one. Raggedy Ann and Andy had some really nice covers.
  9. That one looks great. #6 is definitely my favorite of the run and one of my favorite Raboy's overall.
  10. Nice books, and at the opposite ends of the "how to get a gal" spectrum. I especially like the Boy Loves Girl cover (minus the Rusty Draper photo). Where is "I got a gal in Tijuana" from. All I can think of is Jan and Dean's "Little Old Lady From Tijuana".
  11. What a great looking copy and I love the green background.
  12. Thanks, I bought this one for the cover but will buy the #1,3 and 4 for the Heath stories. (I don't know what I'd do without GCD).
  13. I love this Heath bar room brawl cover for Arizona Kid #2. I count 33 different people and something is going on everywhere you look. I think I like the bottom area best though, with the guy holding his head in horrified agony, the oblivious drunk and the guy with his head stuck in the bar. The interior also has 3 Heath stories.
  14. Thanks, and you can never have enough friends and friends of friends with cool comics.
  15. I like this Maneely cover and there's also a cool Tumlinson story about a guy that gets hanged but doesn't die. His buddies cut him down and take him up to a mountain top to make a deal with an indian devil living there. Then, with the noose still on his busted neck and head cocked to the side, he goes on a killing spree.
  16. I'd like this Shores cover even without the snow, but I'm a sucker for "falling snow" covers and that makes this one of my favorite Atlas westerns.
  17. Thanks and I love the books in your rotating sig line.
  18. I should have known it was one of your hand me downs. Thanks for letting it go, it's a much better copy than I thought I'd ever get. I think it was on Graham Crackers web site before the auction and I almost made them an offer. I'm glad I didn't because I won it for less than 60% of my max bid.
  19. Thanks comicnoir and Brad Tabar (Bill Ward did the cover).
  20. A bunch of great books here. It's been fun watching your progress the last few years.
  21. Here's one I picked up in the last CLink auction that was high on my want list after seeing Dr.Love's awesome Church copy. Definitely on my short list of favorite romance covers.
  22. Two cool books. A Buck Rogers cover and a Bill Everett cover I haven't seen before.
  23. That's a nice looking set of books. I like all five of them.
