  1. Thanks for the info. I only collected X-Men, Spidey, etc... pre internet days, so I can only imagine how tough it must have been to find obscure titles like this.
  2. ....I love this comic. At one time I owned 3 copies.... the Toronto, Jerry Weist's copy, and a reader that was autographed by Jack AND Roz Kirby ....... and I still keep checking out the slabbed 7.0 w/ white pages on eBay ..... GOD BLESS.... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u That's a nice little hoard you had there. I don't think I've seen a comic signed by Jack and the mrs. before. Did they sign it for you personally or were the sigs there when you bought it?
  3. It counts in my book. Nice one. I always wanted to read the Space Westerns and hopefully the stories aren't terrible.
  4. Thanks Doc and I really like your AWW #3. Definitely one of my favorite Black Rider covers. Also, I haven't seen the insides of #3 but you can tell it's Heath on the 5 pager in the #2. Obviously early in his career though.
  5. I can't believe I haven't noticed this Kinstler cover before. Great book.
  6. Nice. I think I like the splash better than the cover. Thanks and I like the splash better also. I think he may have accidentally knocked his hat off with his whip on the cover.
  7. Here's the Black Rider about 10 years later. Severin cover with 3 Kirby stories. The Kirby splash is from my reader copy.
  8. Origin and first appearance of the Black Rider. The cover and 11 page origin by Shores.
  9. You can never have too many books with cool Everett covers. Two great ones there Jimbo.
  10. Congrats on getting the last CL you needed. I'd have a heck of a lot more "good" conditioned comics in my collection if they looked like this.
  11. that's some kinda sweet pard and speaking of fast draws, apparently Maneely was so fast he was called "Joe Money" "Fast draws"...that's a good one. I didn't really know much about Maneely (or how fast he was) until reading Alter Ego #28 a few months ago. The Maneely feature is a great read. What a shame he died so young.
  12. Trail Colt #2. Ingels cover with L.B. Cole and (2) Whitney stories.
  13. Welcome to the boards Robot Man and what an awesome collection. That Siegel and Shuster signed Superman puzzle is just great. 8 pieces to put together the sigs. Love it.
  14. I always enjoy seeing your books, too! Thanks for sharing! You're welcome, Boot. Back to the promos, do you (or anyone here) know if the 1942-44 Victory Patrol's each have a different Super Book of Comics included inside.
  15. Thanks a lot dukedog and it's a funny one too. GCD doesn't list it as a reprint (of CL #6) so I thought the DCM option was finished when I saw they didn't have the #25. Learning more every day. Probably explains why somebody clipped it out in the first place. There's $20 just waiting for the person that finds this torn out panel being held up by a magnet on their grandparents refrigerator.

  17. I picked up this beat up copy of CL #25 on ebay a while ago to hold me over until I find a nicer one (at which point I'll become a hoarder). Not being able to read the "whole" comic is bugging me though. It would be much appreciated if someone could post a scan of the panel I'm missing from page #20.
  18. Very cool books being posted here and I'm especially enjoying the write-ups by Dr. Love and Boot. It's definitely given me a better appreciation of this area of collecting.
  19. A great looking copy. One of my favorite PCH and Baily covers. A nice choice for page #666.
  20. Congrats on getting such a nice looking copy. It's always great to see a collector snag a book that means so much to them when it just as easily could have been bought as an afterthought by someone else and never be appreciated nearly as much.
  21. Neat stuff and this one has a great cover. Also, I laughed when I read your description of the Amazing But True comic, but now I really do want to know the history of milk usage.
  22. I saw the ones on WorldWide and one from a ComicConnect sale but couldn't find anything about the collection itself. I did a quick internet search and found out that Hap Langlie graduated from a Seattle high school (Queen Anne) in 1952 and died in 2010 (just north of Seattle). Here are the cover sig and first page sig from my Hap book.
