  1. 5.5 just sold yesterday for $3550.00.
  2. You lucky son of a Congrats! It's a awesome book!
  3. Bat 1 beats them all. B & R swinging over Gotham on a canary yellow cover! Batman #1 > Tec #27 is not that crazy a statement. Due to rarity and the nature of hero > villain, Tec #27 will always be the top Batman book. But Batman #1 is far more socially relevant -- rumor has it Heath Ledger used the two Joker stories as source material to study from. I'm confident few studied the story of Batman in Tec #27 for much beyond seeing a "cool look" at the birth of the character. Batman #1 has four times the classic content, features two monumental 1st appearances and much more. FMV will never reflect the aforementioned, but it can be argued that Batman #1 is the superior book. A page from Bat 1 that keeps me high as a kite... Note the maniacal smirk on the J's face. Love that Splash!
  4. Yep. That 19% BP can really start to bite! I would think the BP is factored in the FMV...or increase FMV. Ouch! I think most people take it into account when bidding (hard not to when they do the arithmetic for you before you finalize your bid) and it's included in the prices on GPA. More of a problem really for the seller than for the buyer if the seller is also getting hit with a seller's premium (as I assume all but the big consignors are). Large wedge between what the buyer pays and what the seller receives. I see. With all the fees, one has to factor all the possible costs involved beforehand. This will determine the costs, profits or loss produced if one shall sell in the future. Nonetheless, the auction house is always the winner by selling their marketing and service.
  5. Those two books are on fire lately!
  6. This is a great looking 5.0 and way better than the 5.0 on Ebay which sold recently. Just my

  8. These grades are out there. I bet if prices increases more, they will come out of the wood works.
  9. I love it. So much history in this book. It started a wave of JLA/DC fan base. No one will ever talk me out of this cover or book (including AF15) Would I trade my AF15 for that 9.4 #28? Avengers 1 can't hold a candle to this book IMO. No..No...long term you may regret it. a 9.4 of a key DC is a freak though. Tough to say which is the better bet. Freaky is the word alright. Unless no other BB28 9.4+ to show up, it's going to be one serious class of it's own. Obviously at this moment, a BB28 9.4 is more valuable than a AF15 8.0.
  10. There are four 4.5's with Off white or better pages? Well hello brother, congrats on your acquisition.OW/W is pretty tough to find with this book. This is a great time to own this book. The top 3 DC SA key book. Congrats! Thanks, I'm trying to figure out my next move, either a Showcase 4 of ASM 1. Your welcome! I go for a Showcase 4 since ASM 1 in all ranges can be found anytime of the day. +1. And FTR ASM 1 or AF 15 is at the peak of pricing, whereas all the DCs have been severely undervalued up to the present time. That's going to start to change big time shortly IMO, and when that does happen you'll have missed the lower prices of right now. In fact there have already been trends suggesting that boat is about to or has already set sail. AMS1's and AF15's has been trending up lately...and are blue chips for the long term. Though there may be a pause or a pullback, hindsight suggest a buying opportunity. The greatest pullback for AF15's were in 2008 and prices in all grades on average are up 50%+ from the interim low.

  18. It was quite a news when Mark sold his Showcase 4 9.2. Following the 9.2 sell a 9.0 sold for a steal nearly 40K. A recent 8.5 just for 47.5K which confirms that HG copies has went to the next level. Love to see more scans.
  19. HOLY ! White pages too! This is one helluva book! This is the top three SA DC book I always envy. The rich in colors and the WP's.
  20. Congrats! Is this the same copy on CL last year or a new one? no, this copy has been in private collections the past 6-7 years at least. A lot of 3.5s coming to market lately have looked similar Thanks, wow that's like five copies in the 3-3.5 range in the last 12 months. Lots of volume and support for the book. yep and 29s tougher than 31s but in last year more 29s have been available public and privately. Let's see if these 29's are in strong hands now.
