  1. I like seeing it every time Thanks Bill. You should be the chairman of this club. Every time I see a Bat 1, I think of you.
  2. Where did Tec #31 rank on the top GA books list in the late 1990's, prior to CGC? OSPG 29 (1999) - ranked 22nd OSPG 30 (2000) - ranked 21st Really shocked where TEC 31 stands in the ranks and the recent price movements. you think it should be higher or lower? The current OSPG listed it as the top 9th. Since it's been selling for more than Marvel Comics 1 and All American 16th in the same grade, it stands at 7th. Time will tell if the trends continues. your sig line betrays the bias ... and now a Bat #1. so you have Both ... Id be dahmmnedd It wasn't too pricey few years back. Prices have just got out of hand recently. Just happy to have them.
  3. Post it before but first time in the club. Low grade but quite happy with it.

  6. Thanks Bob. I tried to find it, but can't. I'll put more time into later. I found one, it's in the extended trailer, but I think there's another shot with it in it Frame 339 The "Science Showcase", oh the sci-fi Flash Thank you for your efforts Bob.
  7. What are your thoughts on total supply of this book? Are there a lot of copies sitting out there unslabbed? Is this the toughest of the big SA keys? This is easily the toughest SA key. No one can know how many are out there raw, but based on how many restored copies relative to unrestored that are on the census one could extrapolate that a lot of those copies still in the wild are also restored. Some of the more seasoned collectors may correct me if I'm wrong but I believe showcase 4 was the most valuable SA comic for many years until AF 15 overtook it some years back. And we all know plentiful those are in relation to SC 4. -J. I agree this book is the most scarce SA key. This is one of the most restored keys during the 1990's. Showcase in the early 90's was the most valuable book for a few years before AF15 retook it's lead. If I recall there was a Flash show in the early 90's too and prices jump tremendously. This SC4 in 5.0 and under is beginning to go for half as much as AF15's in similar grades.
  8. Thanks Bob. I tried to find it, but can't. I'll put more time into later.
  9. GPA is $4,525 What does gpa say about the 5.0 I sold last month for 10 k $8,365 Will these (4.0 and 5.0) eventually show up on GPA? Nope and since Clink doesn't report neither will those. I believe both 5.0's verified GPA sales are from Heritage.
  10. Congratulation on the record sale of the 4.0 and 5.0 sale. The book has made the next leg up. So, it's like 2K a point, for 5.0 and under.
  11. Misquote or does he really believe it? Agree or disagree? Which one will go highest tonight? A1 or T27 ... the A1 should kill a 3 sided trimmed tec27... if both were equal grades, the A1 would still win (imo) Considered how the T27 in question actually fills out the inner well in a "normal" way, it must be micro-micro trim. its not noted as "cover" trimmed, but "edges"...that typically means interior book trimmed too... The C-cnect Action 1 (mod 7.0) was clearly the better book relative to the triple trimmed tec27 (mod 8.0). Yet they roughly hammered out at 140K and 170K, with "only" a 30K margin. What does that indicate to you as regards the reciprocal strength of the big two? Is action still a hair above when this sale is considered? The action closed about 50k higher than anticipated and the Tec about 40k higher. Both books are strong but action 1 is still king. Rick, the Action 1 CC 7.0 mod presents well, but the interior enlightened (depending how much was done) is somewhat a big factor? Regardless, those are strong prices for the BIG two. didn't bother me...interior lightening is just chemically cleaning the pages....it will still outlast us all (thumbs u Thanks. The A1 7.0 EP with married pages sold a few years back for 120K and your 8.0 MP for 140K, so this CC copy price for 172K is stronger than most have anticipated and is justified by the current trend.
  12. hi joey, why 9k?, the 4.0 on comic link has been there for a while w/ the highest bid at 6,250(something like that) I did notice that: link There's a that 4.5 sold for $7200 recently (listed 3/13/2014) as well. That books presents well for the grade and old label goodness.

  14. A 6.0 sold a few months ago for 13K, and 7.5 26K before that. Well, prices should be around 10% higher now with pent up demand for this book. A 4.0 should be more like 6.5K and a 5.0 a 10K book. I have not seen any 5.0's sold in the 11K mark yet, but time will tell soon.
  15. Negotiating for an AF #15 CGC 7.5 must be hard. Such big demand for that comic. You might need to just take it. It's a blue chip comic. If I owned one I would not be coming down in price either. Man up. +1. Would be difficult to have this book at a discounted price. Book continues to stay hot and has appreciated every year so far. Elmer, if you can pay anywhere close to the asking price of 65k, I'd take it. It's an elite Clubber's Club to own a 7.5 or better (I consider 7.5 the starting point for high dollar / high graders...some people would differ). The book is gorgeous with fresh clean grays and clean white streaks. (thumbs u +1 There is no wholesale on AF15's 7.5+ or a matter of fact any AF15's. It's scarce in this range and this copy presents well with great PQ. I'm glad on paid strong for my when I had to. It's an "Elite Club" all right. Good luck Elmer.
  16. Good to know, it never sold. I remember the stronger offer on CL when it was reduced twice.
  17. With all of the prices being thrown around in this thread for other low grade copies it sounds like $119,000 isn't too far off for those three books. It's better priced now, for he switched the A13 1.5 WP to a A13 1.0 SB.
  18. I agree Still very cool to see all three as a set. for sure. As well as the pre robins he has up. The action 7 is intriguing as to "how and where" slightly brittle the paper is. Sometimes it's really in an isolated area and not very bad at all but one would have to crack it to find out. Roll the dice and resub and maybe get a PQ upgrade. I once had a Cap 1 that CGC labeled slightly brittle. I cracked it out and I didn't see anything of that sort. The paper was dark though but still supple and survived any flick tests. I recalled the Action 7 1.8 slightly brittle was at CL and it sold for like about 22K. Some books like the SB can have a role of the dice for a PQ upgrade "the flick tests" . On another note, does any know if the hole punched 2.0 sold? Last time I saw the hole punched had a bid of 33K.
