  1. From what I've read, they are looking for someone to sign on as the good Doctor for something in the range of 7 to 9 movies between Doctor Strange and the other Marvel movies such as Avengers (kevin Feige) said he'd like to see doc in the Avengers. I wouldn't doubt there being a Defenders movie or netflix series in the very near future being announced if one already hasn't. I think its going to be quite a few years before this book cools down.
  2. It is quite possible that I may be placing my St 110 for sale in the next week.
  3. Sold Dave a book and payment was sent very quickly. Dave made the transaction very smooth with great communication as well. Thank you for your purchase. Mike Pereira
  4. Another quick transaction with David. Sold a Doc Strange book and he paid earlier than agreed upon. Always a pleasure David.
  5. David bought several Doctor Strange books from me and the communication was top notch. Payment was super fast and he's also very easy to deal with. An asset to the boards. A+ (thumbs u
  6. Sold David some Doc Strange books. Very easy to deal with, pleasant transaction and super quick payment as well. Did I mention excellent communication? Would be happy to trade with him in the future.
  7. Wow.. Great communication, super fast payment speed and an excellent transaction from beginning to end. PhoKing was my first customer on my website to purchase from me and I couldnt ask for a better experience! Bought 2 slabs from me. Great boardie. Stop by any time my friend. Thank you! (thumbs u
  8. Erndog is an asset to the boards. Super fast payment and very good communication. Super easy to deal with and treats people the way you would want to be treated. Very fair guy. I cant say enough. A+++ Hope to trade with you again man.
  9. I love to see all these 110s' up here. I've always thought this was a cool book. Its about time the Doc gets his due. His whole back catalog of comics are seriously under rated still. Finally starting to really heat up. I was fortunate enough to have been able to buy this off a fellow boardie last year.
  10. it most likely doesn't factor into account. The new mutants 87 9.9 that just sold for around 3200.00 was off centered and back cover was showing on front. Personally I don't understand how that or marvel spotlight 5 9.6 copies that are so terribly off centered are passed as 9.6 because the book is defective from factory but it also seems to help the grade by masking the spine imperfections as the black spines would show flaws much easier that the white off centered spine.
  11. I can't possibly express to you how much this made my day. Not just the fact that the check is on its way but more that the facts are laid out in black and white, plain and simple right here on the boards! After someone posting my "shill" bidding, I now feel vindicated. There were those who had my back though so thank you to those guys. I did get a lot of congrats from people on the sale and now its due time the Buyer got his. The man won what he set out to win and if that's what he likes(I know I loved it for a long time) then more power to him. Congrats on the new book. (thumbs u
  12. I will post when a transaction is completed to make the recorded sale official.
  13. sup Kev. Thanks for the congrats. Your brother couldn't believe it either. He was the first person I called.
  14. Logging onto Pedigree and ComicLink setting insanely high record prices the last two years.
  15. I feel for you my friend. I've had this happen to me on several books which is just the nature of the beast. My hulk 181 9.6 sold at 2k and 2 years later went to 6k, my spotlight 5 9.6 sold at 2k and 2 years later sold at 5k just to name a few. Years ago, people were rippin' on me for paying what I did which at the time was insane! I mean at the time, we were talking about a 15.00 comic at best pulling in hundreds more than the publicly known price of 510.00 and I can't tell you how many people told me that there would be more 9.9s coming any day.. Hasn't happened since the 4 years this book was originally sold. Not saying it isn't gonna happen but it wouldn't matter all that much anyway. 2 9.9s for the entire comic population is hardly enough. Even though we all see this as a high price, it doesn't mean that this book won't have a following tomorrow, nor does it mean that others are not willing to pay the same price. I mean, the book got that high in a bidding war with at least 2 participants so someone else out there wants it too. I would guess that we haven't seen the last on this book fetching big money. The only thing that would have been nice is to see less people ripping on the buyer. Crazy books have sold for crazy prices in the past and most of those "crazy" books are now worth more than their crazy prices back then. I think that the wolverine 1 9.9 was a prime example and its also a modern book. personally, I think the first app of deadpool has more going for it than the first mini series by wolverine but that is just my opinion and some may disagree and that's completely understandable to me. I just wish the buyer good luck with my book. (thumbs u
  16. For the select few that think the book is a piece of trash.. everyone has an opinion and their right to express it. I happen to love the book and that's why I originally bought it. I paid more than the publicly known price of 510.00 that was sold back in 2005 as I bought this book back in 2007 I believe but when I did, I had friends bustin' me about buying it for what I paid for it. They said the same thing 2 years ago that the market would have tons of 9.9s falling from the sky back then..I'm not saying there won't be, just saying even if a few pop up, it would only be 2 or 3 for everyone who might want one and demand is there as he is getting very popular. To those who made it aware I was a fellow forum member, thank you. I was absolutely flawed when I came home and saw the final bid. I almost died right there. I was at a resteranut with a friend and she checked the auction for me on her phone and it was at 4777.00 at the time I believe and within the 15 minutes it took me to get home, she called me screaming telling me it was at 10k ! I though she was messing with me and when I checked the site, it had only a few seconds to go..I'm sitting there thinking "omg! I can't believe this book is hitting 10k! and a few seconds later 12,250.00 blessed my computer screen. I figured between 4 to 6k might be where it was placed. Never did I expect this to go to what it did. I'm not complaining of course, but for someone to say I may have been "shill bidding" wasn't very fair considering you don't know me as other members here do. I'm a straight shooter and I've dealt with several sellers on here over the years who can back that up. For the winning bidder, I hope he's happy with the book as I know that out of all the books I've owned over the years including Daredevil 1 9.2 (from highgrade comics) hulk 181 9.6, marvel spotlight 5 9.6, iron fist 14 9.8 spidey 50 9.4, ff 48 9.6 , this was my favorite because I love the character. Never in my wildest dreams did I figure it would reach this height at the auction though. I'm still floored. As a few members pointed out though, I will post once payment is in my hands. I know there are those who may look at this in a negative way but I'm just happy it did what it did and I didn't set that price.. My reserve was 3750.00 because I went through a lot to get this book at the time and I had a hard time letting it go. Thanks again to all those who posted in the copper threads with all the congrats on the sale(pending payment ) Oh yeah, thank you too Ryan Reynolds
  17. KUDOS to mephisto who offered help on finding an art page I was looking for. Unfortunately, the page will not be up for sale but at least I can put that idea to rest. Thanks mephisto.
