  1. I know who has it, his girlfriend bought it for him @Sam I am Thank you for the congrats. She likes to spy on me when I'm watching certain books or auctions. I have a list of books that I'm usually looking to cross of my list and when she gets hold of it, I sometimes end up with one as a surprise. She asked me after the auction, how the book ended. I told her 4200 and that the new owner was going to love that book since it was such a sharp copy. She responded with.. good.. because you are the new owner
  2. I normally just collect high grade keys and other oddball stuff that I happen to like. I have a good friend on the boards that is collecting the aquaman run though. Usually, when I find something nice in that run, I direct it to him. anyone want to sell me a CGC no resto Cap 1? Thank you btw
  3. Very sweet. Thank you. It's funny how attached one can get in such a short amount of time.
  4. Great Doctor Strange story in that issue! Fabulous quality copy. Thank you. I liked the story as well. Doc Strange Omnibus is in the works from what I read the other day. Can't wait to pick one up. That's the best news I've heard all day. Great ST 126 too Mike! Thank you. Oh baby......I am overcome with jealousy and covetousness, have at thee!!!!! I picked up a strange tales 110 9.2 green river but alas, not appropriate to post it on the boards. It can be found on myslabbedcomics though

  6. Thanks ya' all. Much appreciated. Good thread. It's cool to see everyone posting their set ups.
  7. Thank you good sir. I wasn't sure if I made the right decision in going with the black frames but after it was said and done, I'm happy that I landed on that.
  8. Finishing up the office. Some pieces aren't up yet, some haven't been framed yet and It seems like Im always adding to what's there. The aquaman 7 cover by Ivan Reis is still wrapped up and sitting on the counter top but should go up soon. There are some really nice collections on this thread. Good job ya' all.

  11. Just sold a Doctor Strange 173 to Rob. He's a super easy boardie to work with and I look forward to dealing with him again.
  12. Silver age book? Silver age dirt on the case as well. Clean? Never!! I use goo gone on the sticker residue. If they need cleaning, I'd use lcd/plasma screen cleaner. If its good enough for a tv screen, then it absolutely won't hurt your case. It's also a gel rather than a liquid base in most cases, so no running liquid down the case. (thumbs u
  13. No doubt. The Doc Strange movies have real potential to stand out. Bringing Magic/science to the screen will be interesting and it offers something different than the current cast of Marvel movie characters are. With multiple movies and cross overs supposedly planned with him, I too think this may be a big win for Marvel movies.
  14. I've got my ST110 issues covered.. Now I need a high grade st 126.
  15. Great book. I'm happy to see it getting the attention it always deserved though. As far as sales go, it will be interesting see how this book unfolds in the coming months/years. Personally, I have more than enough faith in this book to go around..
  16. I believe that's the last recorded sale on GPA as well. Same basic price as the last gpa recorded JIm 83 in the same grade. Amazing..
  17. Evidence? Gpa But I sold a ST110 in 9.0 back in August for 4X the GPA-recorded high. I believe that sales of other grades since then simply reflect the proportionate price increase that had already been realized. Put another way, I think GPA is a trailing indicator of the market on this comic. What sales since then have indicated that prices on the comic keep going up, rather than simply catching up? The same thing happened with Hulk #1. After the 9.2 copy fetched a record price at auction, sales in the lower grades followed suit over the next couple months. Now, they've taken a breather, and each new copy to market no longer tops the last one sold in that grade. Comicconnect also sold a 9.6 recently for 66k which would be the new high for that grade. In another year or so, 66k will be a gift.
