  1. Monty Python killed that genre 43 year ago. If "King Arthur" couldn't revive it about a decade ago, nothing could.
  2. Yup. It didn't work for The Phantom 3876 (or something like that) and I don't see working here as well.
  3. It kind of worked for Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes though, at the box-office. The worldwide BO of Legend of Tarzan too.
  4. My father brought that book home a lot, when I was growing up. Even got the doll for one of my birthdays. Of course my sister broke it so I couldn't have too much with it.
  5. Moderns. Around 2002. Definitely Route 666, Ruse and Sojourn. I kept away from the big two mainly other than Supergirl #75-80. Then that company went belly-up and I went to Image and started reading DC and Marvel.
  6. Has anybody noticed Wal-Mart and Target have Riverdale comics in their newsstand sections? Pretty minty condition too.
  7. Thank you! I love the look of the new holders with the ongoing issues. For now, I'm not going reholder the one shot/movie adaption and it's 2nd print.
  8. Ooooooo... That's the best looking Universal I have seen and I have 3-4 of them.
  9. I do try. It was the only thing that worked really. Most of the sketches he was obviously reading off the cue cards (see Steven Seagal.) We have been too spoiled with Louis CK and Melissa McCarthy. Still think Kristen Stewart was the best "non-comedian" host this season and Arianna Grande for last season.
  10. Well, Chris Evans was a disaster on the recently reliable SNL tonight. There goes that momentum and any watercooler talk Monday. I bet Lorne Michaels is wishing he got Chris Pratt now.
  11. Even though I didn't mind the sequels (didn't love, mind you,) I might drag my butt to a theater to catch this as well. I never watched it in it's original theatrical release.
  12. I'm watching the 2010 Edition of "Metropolis" right now. Now, that's pretty trippy and I'm loving it!
  13. I have never seen it on DVD. I was considering having it transferred to DVD, so I can put it in my comic film library, but haven't got around to doing it yet. Universal was the producer/distributer of it in '78. Not sure if they can ever release it now, due to Marvel/Disney owning it now. It's a better question, to ask someone who knows this stuff better than me. It's a weirdly fun, low-budget movie. I've always thought it had a decent tone.
  14. Great thread! Very entertaining from all who contributed. I would go with Betty. She's a stalker and probably a psycho, so she would be devoted at least.
  15. Marvel hasn't been able to top this one yet. It's the pride of my VHS library. #gopats
  16. It would be nice to see a Bruce Willis movie (albeit probably a small part) on the big screen again. He's had quite a few direct-to-DVD stinkers recently.
  17. Went to buy it last night, but I forgot and picked up La La Land instead. Got a copy at Target tonight. Can't wait to watch it Saturday night. Hidden Figures gets bumped to another week.
  18. What's even better with "The Spy Who Loved Me" was it totally ignores "Moonraker" at the end. I would too if it wasn't for the opening gambit, the return of Jaws, Shirley Bassey's theme song, Ken Adam's sets, Holly Goodhead and Q's witty joke at the end.
  19. But he was the highest paid actor of 2016 with an estimated $64 million.
  20. I think you are forgetting The Mummy.
