  1. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/box-office-pirates-5-clears-77m-us-baywatch-capsizes-23m-1008356 Ironically, to Davy Jones's locker it goes... Like the last one, should be able to recoup overseas.
  2. I'm reading The Secret History of Wonder Woman by Jill Lepore now, as well as Super Boys: The Amazing Adventures of Jerry Siegel and Joe Schuster-The Creators of Superman by Brad Ricca. It's not a link, but reading off the written page for information is so retro.
  3. I was in the mood for The Mummy ('99) last night. Can't say I want a retread of it in 2017 though. I watched the trailer of it on Get Out last night and see a decent movie, if not original though. Bought Cat People today (Universal remake of the RKO "classic".) That was made different for the era. Va-va-voom!
  4. I bought "The Power of the Daleks" today at Best Buy on the cheap. I know it's animated, but I was always thought Anneke Wills was a cutie (now 75) and only saw her in "The War Machines." Anybody catch it yet?
  5. I really enjoyed it. I could see where all the critical acclaim from. I remember seeing "The Stepford Wives" on TV, before the TV movie sequel came out. I remembered how scared I was at the end of the movie with Katherine Ross's big reveal, it was right up there with Norman's mother in the fruit cellar at the end of "Psycho."
  6. I met a real life Superman. Cape and all. Even wrote the news article. http://www.newhampshire.com/goffstown-news/goffstowns-man-of-steel-is-the-real-deal-20161021 Enjoy. -Jerel
  7. I can see it doing extremely well overseas as most of Cruise's franchises.
  8. I'll wait for Blu Ray. Bad movies like this always gets "Ultimate Editions." Maybe an "Unrated" one at that.
  9. Maybe it was because I just watched Touch of Evil, Fourteen Hours (Grace Kelly's first role) and Pale Rider, but I was ready to take this film in. The was just the right amount of moral conflict for the leading characters to qualify as a neo-noir type film/western. I can't believe I'm saying this, but this was a great film. While it's not totally up the highest standards of modern film noir type films like for instance, The Grifters, yet it achieves a unique tone that separates from the rest of the X franchise. It practically renders them superficial now. After the dumb X-Men: Apocalypse, I wouldn't have dreamed it possible that a third Wolverine movie would be considered in the top 5 funnybook movies ever made. The only bad thing was that it felt a half an hour too long. It's not Unforgiven, but it's not the first Wolverine either.
  10. If they made an Alien Vs. Predator: Requiem once, then most likely they'll never stop milking the xenomorph's utters to this franchise. I figure it will take at least 2-3 more movies before there might be a pause. These things still have a lot of bankable buzz to them.
  11. Well, it's the ultimate women's movie to begin with. Sigourney not needing a squadron of colonial marines to help her rescue her "adopted" daughter from the evil clutches of a villainess in the form of an alien queen. It's a Lifetime movie on steroids, just without the deadbeat dad.
  12. A classic for the genre. Watching it reminded me of watching classic horror films like Ginger Snaps, It Follows and Let The Right One In for the first time. I loved the cast. That's what made it more special for me.
  13. I've seen the DC and Archie (based on TV show) at all of the Walmarts in NH.
  14. Yup. Picking it up Tuesday for a Friday Night viewing myself. It's why I don't get too excited with movies in theaters anymore. I less harsh with them (well, maybe not all of them, ) when I view them at home with no distractions too.
  15. I feel sad for her. Not for her desperation to stay relevant in a role she's outgrown, but that she doesn't realize that the '97 role she thought was "fun" was only made for the reason of toy sales. She didn't actually empower any young girls who might have caught this movie, like Gal Gadot is about to. Or Melissa Benoist or Margot Robie in that regard as well.
  16. Excellent! I'm still a little confused which Chris is playing Steve Rogers, but excellent news!
  17. To this day, I don't know why they didn't do a sequel.
  18. I saw they re-released the rock-solid Keri Russell animated 2009 "Wonder Woman" on DVD (maybe Blu Ray) today. Definitely, pick it up if you haven't seen it yet.
