  1. Yeah, he was all like "Don't blink and stuff." I mean, I wasn't too worried. I bought it at a Walmart. I should be alriiii.....gaahhhhhhhhhhhh....
  2. I'm kind of stuck in a Forum Phantom Zone at the moment. Arch is working on it. Hope he gets me out soon. Feels like I've been banned for something, which I do not understand?
  3. Mee knew here. Someday becom Foroomite of the Beer.
  4. It is a very twisty place now, isn't it? In New Hampshire, we might comment it is "a mite peculiar" as well. ...and I have seen plenty of strange.
  5. Hmm no. Kate Bush is the only qualified female to play the Doctor PJ Harvey. What about The Doctor's Daughter? or even Eva Green? Not Eva Green Eva Green would be perfect. Not a fan. Hmm not possible there is a male and female species for the time lords. Looming is not cannon yet. I also think it is a risky move to do because we know how the male doctor and female companion work well together compared to male doctor male companion combo. We then have to wonder how a female/female combo would go or a female/male combo. Rupert Grint would also be great Oh, I never thought about him. I'm not sure are totally correct on the gender-swapping conventions of the Time Lords either. In the episode "Hell Bent," didn't the security chief do just that when the Doctor "killed" him.

  7. The only American actor who I could ever see play the role with a kind of quiet dignity and restraint would have been Morgan Freeman 10-12 years ago. I literally think there would not have been one complaint about him being American. My He just feels like he's been around the universe once or twice and has seen in it all with a twinkle of an eye. Hmm Christopher Walken He would make a most excellent "Master" after "Missy" gets done.

  9. They kind of alluded to that in "Day of the Doctor." (my happiest moment watching something on tv last year.)
  10. I did like it enough though. I just watched the far superior "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" (1978) this afternoon and comparisons will be made with pod-people like acted/written movies.
  11. She's seems too busy, trying not to be the damsel. Compared to the fiery Rosamund Pike in the first movie, her character feels a bit flat in drama and action scenes. In other words... wasted. It feels like she is there just to soften Reacher around the kid and kill bad guys at the right moment, for the plot's endless economy of supporting characters. In other words, any unknown actress could have played her really and got the same results (see interrogation scene where she should have "commanded.")
  12. Not surprisingly, the movie couldn't sustain it's threat to the heroes as Reacher methodically dispatched them and some of the plot twists, close calls and dialogue was pretty predictable, but this was a solid enough movie. I welcomed it's reserve toward children in jeopardy, pointless car chases and gunplay and makes a suitable companion to the first movie. But, we have been down this road many many times in better thrillers like "A Lonely Place to Die" to "To Catch a Thief." Recommended, with reservations.
  13. "WORD, !" I'm proud to say I watched that in a theater as most of Ben's movies. It was a full theater too. I think someone brought a cow, but it's NH afterall.
  14. I was disappointed to see Affleck sign on these movies, myself. I do enjoy watching a handful of these funnybook movies now, as the rest seem "the same" or downright awful. But, I felt Affleck was starting to explore another facet of his career with directing. I graded BvS, a rightfully deserved 3.0 (no change with the Ultimate Edition,) but I felt Affleck was surprisingly the strongest thing in it, with Gal Gadot a promising actress as well. Truth is, I try to think of it as just a Batman movie and just fast forward the Eisenberg/Cavill parts the second time. At the the end of the day it was a popcorn film that didn't entertain me and only me. I don't think I'll ever watch it again on Blu, maybe on cable, who knows? I think it's silly to take it too seriously anyway, with movies like King Kong '33, It Happened One Night, Jaws, All The President's Men, Frozen, 2001, The 39 Steps, The Lady Vanishes, Fight Club, Apocalypse Now, etc out there. On that note... all I can say I seriously hope Affleck's Batman is at least as entertaining as popcorn flicks like Speed, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Batman '89, Guardians of the Galaxy was in the past.
  15. I'm casually watching "One For The Money" tonight (2% on RT - they were way off ) and I kept recognizing the Joseph "Joe" Morelli character's voice, but couldn't quite place it. Animated Batman Jason O'Mara.
  16. It wouldn't even occur to me to skip JLA if I didn't like Wonder Woman. I like movies, and I see a lot, but they're costly. I'd rather not see any movies that rate 6/10 or below on my scale. Last year the two worst movies (and they weren't so much awful as disappointing) I saw in the theater were BvS and SS, with Now You See Me 2 and Assassins Creed (friend made me watch it)definitely in the mix. If Wonder Woman isn't good, I will have even less faith that Justice League will be good (but I KNOW IT WILL BE LONG). There's just too many other good movies out there to waste budget when there's enough sample size for me to draw an unfavorable conclusion. I still cannot understand the climax of Now You See Me 2. Don't click on this if you haven't watched the movie yet. Don't watch the movie, if you haven't watched it yet.
  17. I'm only ten minutes in this movie and I absolutely love it. Going to save it for Friday night.
  18. Hayley Atwell A female Doctor would be good. As long as it's not Olivia Colman. I could see Rosamund Pike myself.
  19. Go in another direction completely. Cast Nick Frost. (drops mic.) Kind of a Who tradition too.
