  1. Definitely Lauren is my first choice. She has a serious presence in her work, that makes you forget about the "girl" in Batgirl. Nathalia is really an underrated actress. Her work in Wildflower separates her from the Olivia Holts and Bella Thornes of the world. Despite her size, Audrey has this spunk and pluck, that could translate well to Affleck's Batman. But for now, Lauren McCrostie can have the role. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lauren_McCrostie https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nathalia_Ramos https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audrey_Whitby
  2. I didn't know Doctor Mysterio got released Tuesday. Now I got something to watch tonight as I write. I don't have cable where I live and I have been interested in watching this one.
  3. Matt Reeves did a terrific (and thankless) job remaking the absolute flawless modern classic "Let The Right One In." He handled the story's dark spots with so much respect for the original, it didn't once feel like it came from Hollywood. I cannot wait to see what he does with Batman.
  4. I've been picking away on Mysterious Doctor Satan every night this week. Almost bought Brick Bradford yesterday. I think I have 22 serials on my want to buy list now.
  5. Don't watch Yoga Hosers then. His daughter has more of a "presence" with Smith's daughter than he does with them in that turkey.
  6. Oooohhh... Good call. I totally blocked those cash grabs out of my psyche.
  7. I really didn't mind Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children or Big Eyes. Bought Sweeney Todd last Friday even (haven't watched it ever.) I'm just a HUGE Sleepy Hollow fan and that considered one of his lesser works.
  8. I guess the toy shop was really a factory. It's where jumpin' Jacks were created. Those people were really cut off too. Not as much as the north of town was on the mountain. A lot of those folks didn't step foot in the center of town more than ten times a year. They relied on the mail man for actual news in their community. They moved their cemetery to higher ground and painstakingly recreated it to it's exact original state/design. 700 plots! You can't help but feel like the Doctor when you enter these mysterious areas.
  9. This movie is gonna be better than House Party 2!
  10. I would love to see another Burton Batman, but I think by having him, you would lose the overly serious tone of the other DC movies for the more funhouse nightmarish visuals Burton creates.
  11. Of course, I'm always getting sidetracked. Hundreds upon hundreds of crows flying my way. Must be a roost nearby.
  12. Just got back from a Doctor Who-like adventure. Doing an article on a flooded town, like the Capaldi episodes "Under The Lake/ Before The Flood." In New Hampshire, you cannot feel like you are The Doctor with all the weird stuff that surrounds you. But, I'm going to need a Clara-type companion. I will settle for a Leela as well.
  13. I know, right! I'm just savoring these episodes slightly out of order.
  14. One of my favorite movies of the year. Four Stars!
  15. Just finished "Listen." Another great episode! I have to admit Capaldi is probably my favorite Doctor (original series and Modern.)
  16. I started to read it during the slasher film resurgence in '96 (Scream.) Read it for a full two years or so. It had a steep price which led me to drop it eventually. But, it lasted 19 more years without me.
  17. Watched Mummy on the Orient Express Sunday for the first time. What a great episode.
  18. OMG, Yoga Hosers. Smith and Depp's daughters were quite good though. Just the rest of the movie. Heard Silent Bob was going to be eaten by a moose in the third movie to that trilogy.
  19. Just happy to be back! Arch is my hero. Plus, i get to cross another 10k post record this year. So, I have to start working out.
