  1. I bought it Tuesday, but it feels like I just watched it in theaters, so I'm going to wait. I'll watch the bonus stuff tonight.
  2. I was disappointed with it, but liked enough of it too. Weird. Gonna definitely watch it again soon.
  3. Yup. Those were my two faves. The Spy Who Loved Me wins by Hamlisch, Barbara Bach and the stunning sets. I can't believe it was such a troubled production. I love how grounded For Your Eyes Only was after the campy Moonraker, but Bill Conti's Rocky meets Olympic-worthy score, the poor acting skills of all the Bond girls, bogged things down considerably. Roger that! Live and Let Die (two and a half stars out of four) The Man With The Golden Gun (two stars) The Spy Who Loved Me (three and a half stars) Moonraker (one and a half stars) For Your Eyes Only (three stars) Octopussy (two stars) A View To a Kill (two stars)
  4. Found the book at a thrift shop and read it three times. Cannot wait for the movie on Blu soon.
  5. I think Universal feels like a great fit for this kind of franchise. Besides the Universal Creature features and Jurassic movies, I can't think of too much stress the producers would feel from a hungry studio, willing to throw in the "everything but the kitchen sink" kind of movies and lets face it, Bond needs to be this kind of movie again. I liked Spectre, but I fast-forwarded a lot of the CG "action scenes." I'm actually, by coincidence watching "The Spy Who Loved Me." For a 40 year old film, it's lavish sets and eye-popping stunt pieces hold up very well. Plus, Roger Moore finally stopped trying to be Sean Connery.
  6. I still enjoy the original in a Dr. No way, now that we are getting Thunderballs in every movie.
  7. I thought it really started showing signs of maturity on the fourth movie, but part 5 galvanized the direction the series' direction from there on out. You literally can jump on the series at part 4 and coast through without any backstory questions. Watched the original on Telemundo, the other night. I still remember getting out of theater after seeing and all the kids tearing around the parking lot.
  8. "Liked" this thread for prosperity.
  9. Yup, I remember the "water-cooler talk" about it during the next few mornings in Jr. High when it aired in 1990 (?). I always thought The Stand was his last great mini-series, but enjoyed The Shining.
  10. To think how easy it would have been if a -script-writer wrote in her head getting hit while inside her spaceship while taking off.
  11. Locke & Key #1 First Print Not the 2nd print, reprint or tpb versions. Hill altered those versions. The 1st print was a modern masterpiece. Even the first 5 page preview in like 7 different books was bone chilling at the time. Something like that happened in my area (Mont Vernon, NH) and the graphic novel's aftermath was just as respectful to the victims, like it happened in real life.
  12. The current ongoing books graded so far. #4 is my favorite cover so far.
  13. OK, I finally got my statues out. Here's two versions: The one with my "Adelle Dazeem" signed 9.8. ...and the other with the 9.9 ongoing #1. I don't know which one I like better? There's a Hallmark going out of business at the Mall of NH, so I bought another set of 3 statues for $33 Thursday. Christmas is such a racket.
  14. Some random ornament pictures from last Christmas. With a couple Supergirls mixed in for good measure (comic thread section after all ).
  15. Here's a random picture of the statue with both of them.
