  1. Closed, and moved Thanks for looking
  2. Overstreet? Is that still a thing? I thought that went out with Wizard and their nonsense prices. Now if we’re talking the grading guide, that would be relevant
  3. I give my best guess on weight and tracking and I often get the “it shouldn’t cost that much” It is simply a matter of my time is much more to Canada. I would rather sell it for less in the US. In the long run I lose too much of my time and if something goes wrong I really lose my azz. Bottom line IS the bottom line. I make more selling in the US at a much lower price.
  4. City does not matter anymore Books have spread far and wide by now. I have found variants in the wild in Oregon, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and elsewhere.None of those are anywhere near the suspected distribution areas.
  5. This rule is not needed. Rule #1 on the probation list: 30 days to complete the transaction or you can go on the probation list. Selling books not in hand whether consignment or modern convention variants pre sale is risky business. If you can’t deliver you should not sell here. If you do you risk the probation list
  6. For me, the Bronze ended with the 35 cent variants Arbitrary yes, but after the Silver everything was ‘modern’ when I was growing up.
  7. I personally cut down to 2 sets and one rarely appears on the boards If you have ASM vol. 1 to offer I am all ears
  8. I did however have $10 on hand when this one popped up in the wild
  9. Seems like a bunch of dealers with a deep inventory are blowing smoke up everyone’s arse Prices are falling like a rock. Not only in actual price, but as measured against over- all inflation prices are way off. Anecdotal stories and one off sales are not going to convince anyone, please peddle that nonsense elsewhere.
  10. Too hard too really see, but is Ruth missing? Casey must have started to lose it if he left Ruth off the “All Time” team
  11. Why anyone would submit a Copper or later book and not use a 9.8 pre-screen is beyond me. As a buyer I refuse to bail out anyones poor decisions. The value of CGC is identifying 9.8 and up for Copper/Modern. I would never pay a nickle more than the raw price on a 9.6. In actuality I bid less than the raw price to account for the additional shipping charges on a 9.6 slab. And as soon as the book arrives it gets cracked. That being said I have ever owned a handful of Copper 9.6’s. My $3 and $4 bids don’t win that often. Hopefully these are one time subs and the submitter learns the hard lesson.
  12. Very tragic end for Thurman Munson. He was a very big part of that team’s success up until that point. But in real baseball terms, Munson was in fact winding down. His last year(partial) was quite pedestrian. He was similar to most catchers of that golden age, pre-steroid era (Though some of his contemporaries clearly were using - see Fred Lynn and Brian Downing). Munson was breaking down , so projecting HoF numbers beyond what we saw is unrealistic. What we saw was the best of him.
  13. Obscure would be any of the Atlas-seaboard titles that maxed out at 4 before they folded For Marvel I think of Phantom Eagle who I believe appeared a MSH then a Hulk in the #130’s , then a Ghost Rider. I think that was it. If you want to go really obscure (and tough) try finding a ‘Vicki” in high grade
  14. I am pretty happy with my spiral note book The invention of evermore fee collecting ‘services’ adds no value to my collection Are these companies even viable in a spiraling tech crash?
  15. Bumping this mainly for trades I collect ASM (raw) and 35 cent variants. But don’t be shy if you have a fair value trade in mind. If you want to purchase outright it is now $4500 (shipped US - I pay $30 towards shipping for other locations) Time payments an option, LMK. I am easy to work with.
  16. Stocks are for investment Comics are a hobby. If I had money lying around ( I definitely don’t) I would be holding on to it for the bottom of the stock market. My comic money is a completely separate pool of money. My work is near zero chance of lay-off during any recession, in fact it would only get crazier with any sort of hiring freeze. Ultimately I may zero out the comic book funds and shift it to stocks if I sense a buying opportunity.
  17. One book. Below GPA, price includes shipping in the US. Will ship to Canada. Other destinations please PM first. Signature required. Check or MO, check must clear. Returns within 7 days of receipt No one on any lists. I respect the PM, first take it by time stamp wins. Trades ok, send your offers. $4800 - below recent GPA
  18. Macy’s? Bad form, this should have been in Phil’s parking lot
