  1. I think he holds some sort of record for the most strikes from his postings in the Water Cooler. He took this new name from his dealings there.
  2. More like it is Friday at 5:30 PM and a large stack of books is waiting for grading. I can’t imagine the company complaining if the grader knocks out a quick stack with or without hitting them for OT. I don’t think CGC is different from any other company when an employee takes a short cut to bring more profits.
  3. Bought ASM #31 from this fine gentleman. As easy as 1-2-3 book arrived looking just as described in record time Lets do this again!
  4. Very nice comparison on inflation and relative cost. my own memory from my childhood had a first class letter at 13 cents and latest issue of Amazing Spider-man at 25 cents (1975). A comic was slightly less than 2 first class stamps. With postage now at 58 cents it is clear the comic book has exploded against the cost of a postage stamp. Remember that next time one wants to complain about the cost of postage
  5. The NY Giants have been separating fools from their money for several seasons now Seems that fools have deep pockets
  6. My ‘next best’ is a restored Amazing Fantasy #15. I had the blue label 5.5 but it got scary high and thought that would be too much for me too lose in a fire/ flood, theft , etc. Bought a 1.8 restored and decided this would be my keeper. Bought during a lull with a Hulk #1 blue 2.0 in a ‘package deal’ I then sold the Hulk #1 to off set my AF #15 investment. So I think I paid less than $8k I don’t have pictures right now, because the book is at Hero Restoration getting a ‘face lift’. I think restored is a reasonable replacement book for a grail that is too much to hold and insure. At the end of the day I will have a great looking grail at a price I can afford to keep.
  7. Nice! But I can see the rippling on the poly bags Upgrade that to Mylar before those get damaged!
  8. Screw the wrap the pages the presentation …. Must have that number!!!!
  9. Very sweet looking copy! How close are you now?
  10. Bitcoin Gold or buy what you like because the market is over- inflated. You are on a fools errand.
  11. Sorry I did not respond right away, I was trying find out where. All I can say is it was from an eBay auction some time ago pre-pandemic
  12. Will Rob Granito be there again? Imagine that fraudster working "megacon" again. Hope the screening has been tightened up bit.
  13. Just wanted this in a slab. All my other ASM are raw
  14. This one is a lesson. DO NOT press this book with the sticker. The pressing process lifted the sticker off. It actually went to grading and recieverd a 5.5. It got the sticker back and then got a 7.0 Dont ask me, I just take the gift and say “Thank you CGC”
  15. Ditto Recently quoted $69+ for tracked/insured. Buyer balked so sending untracked and crossing my fingers There are boardies here I would not hesitate, but only the ones I know. Impossible to get a price beforehand and I go to PO. So then it is 2 trips and waiting in line twice and then some buyers want me to lie on the customs form(I refuse to). Just a massive headache.
  16. Front Cover Only Jungle #72 ’free with next purchase’!
