  1. Typical newsstand grades unfortunately 7.0-9.0. It got easier to dig them out after awhile because they were the ones that weren't bagged and boarded.
  2. Too many to post pics. Ones and twos of tons of titles. A shambles really. Here’s the one closest to the end of Marvel newsies:
  3. Sold an X-Force 1 with Deadpool card for $35 shipped hours after listing it today. Maybe I left a little on the table, but I'll take the money and run! The sick part is that I had it up for months in an X-Force mini-lot and no one wanted it for $2 per so I de-listed it last month. Good timing!
  4. Picked about 250 post-2000 Marvel newsies out of the dollar bins at a junk shop today. I only made it halfway through the store stock, no reason to think there aren't another 200 or more for the picking tomorrow!
  5. Deep diving for modern newsies at a local junk shop today. Came away with about 250 post-2000 Marvel newsies!
  6. Thanks for posting these! It was fun to peruse these innovative covers!
  7. Is the reason no one's said Obadiah Oldbuck at $10,000 TWICE because it's not a comic?
  8. And #6 https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313&_nkw=avengers+heroic+6&_sacat=900&LH_TitleDesc=0&_osacat=900&_odkw=avengers+6&LH_Complete=1&rt=nc&LH_Sold=1
  9. My package to CO finally reached its destination, I just mailed another to Houston, for whatever reason they seem to get to Houston without delay.. Hopefully with the new administration the USPS will get straightened out. Mailed one on January 5 from Long Island NY to Wyoming. It arrived in Jacksonville Fla on 1/16 and then in Denver, CO on 1/22. Maybe it will get there someday...
  10. Knowing me, I'll probably watch the next installment at some point anyway.
  11. Third installment was terrible. The Continental made no sense whatsoever, what was with all those glass rooms and whatever the hell it was? Just stupid. Keanu can get shot 1,000 times and no problem, stupid. He can fall off a building and be okay, stupid. They should have quit after number 2 which was already an overreach. I am dumber for having watched this movie. Letter to myself: I'm sorry!
  12. Fair enough, I definitely wasn't invested in the MCU like so many other fans. Not appointment viewing, missed half of the satellite movies, watched them out of order, etc. So when those swelling trumpets were sounding in Endgame, there were no goose bump moments for me. Just too much of everything at the end for me.
  13. Saw Endgame for the first time earlier this month. I thought it was overwrought, overlong, oversentimental and not very good overall. The dollars speak for themselves, I guess, but I would have preferred that they took the Infinity War and Endgame movies and cut them down to one movie with less characters, less exposition and less "grand moments". The filmmakers thought they were going for the brass ring of a Best Picture nomination ala Return of the King but fell far short, IMO. This installment actually took away some of the good will that earlier films imparted to some of the characters. I suppose it mostly wrapped up what had gone before, but it was one too many trips to the well for me. I will be looking forward to new characters and stories in whatever phase is next. I give it 5/10 because I grew up Marvel.
  14. DC's Adventures of Jerry Lewis # 89 from 1965 has Jerry visiting the Land of Ooze in an Alice in Wonderland parody issue. The Wizard is none other than Alfred E. Neuman - a disembodied green headed version!
  15. I've told this one before. I bought a Foom poster with the intention of having Steranko and Stan Lee both sign it and then get it framed. I got Stan's signature first and then promptly lost it for 2-3 years! Turns out I had it in a cardboard sandwich for protection and put it in a magazine sized box in my closet. Only it was at the end of the box and every time I looked through that box I thought the cardboard sandwich was the end of the box! Finally discovered my error and had Jim sign it as well. Still haven't framed it however, but I will! Edit: Actually, I misremembered - I lost the poster for a couple years before either of them signed it.
  16. You don't know what you have until you have it graded - it may or may not be complete, it may or may not be restored. Having it graded will give you answers to those very important questions. And, since you are having it graded anyways, you may as well have it cleaned and pressed at the same time. After that, you can proceed to insure, hold or sell decisions.
  17. Yumpin' Yimminy, it's Yimmers!!
  18. Let's see, is More Fun Comics 31 the one to have or is it Action 1? I'll hang up and listen to your answer.
  19. This month marks my 20th anniversary on eBay. I signed on to purchase some tickets to a sporting event. Through eBay, I reignited my dormant interest in comic books which continues to this day. So, thanks eBay!
  20. Buying a ball and glove does not a Major-Leaguer make.
  21. Terrible. Did they berate you for using damaged backing boards too?
