  1. Nice! I see your ASM and raise you a Hulk. Who’s got the Deadpool to complete the set?
  2. I literally bought one of these today for $1. LCS had some new stock they wanted out and I got to look before anyone else. All were $1 and that was very far from the best book I got today. But nice to hear it is moving! Sold two in the last day, including a VFNM just now for $20 plus shipping.
  3. I finally saw this film and came here to say something negative about Brie Larson's wooden performance and the complete lack of charisma and general appeal. After reading a few pages of comments, I think I'll instead comment on the equally disturbing de-aged Samuel L. Jackson CGI-simulacrum that they ginned up. This "performance" is how I know that James Dean will someday "star" in another movie. All it will take at this point are heirs who value money over decency, can't be too long now.
  4. Here is a late-era DC newsie I found recently.
  5. I will use this post to list the comics available for sale and edit accordingly in the event any are sold. The comics below are $5 each. There will be no grades assigned to any individual comic, the scans below will tell the story. The vast majority of these comics are in the 7.0-8.0-9.0 range, there are none below a 6.0 (and very few that low), and there are several that are above 9.0 as well. No rips, tears or pieces missing, no spine splits. I will post a scan of each issue listed below in order (hopefully). I also have back cover scans available on request (already done, no problem). Strikethrough means sold! 6. Just like the title says, offering a big batch of DC newsstand issues from the 2010-2013 range (roughly). Nothing key, just some hard to find newsstand issues for your collection! Rules: Payment is by Paypal, Venmo, personal check or money order (latter two methods must wait for receipt and clearance). Shipping is any way you like: for U.S. buyers 1-3 comics can go via USPS First Class for $5.00, 4+ comics can go USPS Priority Mail at cost or even by Media Mail for flat $5.00 charge - buy as many as you like for the same flat $5 if by Media. Canadian boardies (or other non-US based buyers) are also welcome, but be prepared to pay actual shipping and be careful, just because the comics are cheap doesn't mean the shipping will be; please inquire beforehand if you have any concerns. I don't usually ship outside of the US (but am willing to make an exception for fellow boardies) so I have no idea what the shipping charges will be. Those on the PL or in the HOS are not permitted to buy. If you are on ignore, you cannot buy. If you are on my personal list, you cannot buy. in the thread rules all. PM negotiations are trumped by in-thread take its if not completed before the take it. Returns - I will accept returns for any reason, just reach out and tell me what's the matter! That's about it. Thanks for looking!
  7. I've got about 50 DC newsstand issues from the 2010-2013 range that I'll try to list sometime this weekend.
  8. Man that finale was something else! Looking forward to more seasons!
  9. Personally, I think you need to get up to around 2010 to even begin to worry about relative rarity or scarcity of newsstand issues. Anything before that is an artifact of hype and "market scarcity" which is not the same. Edit to add: referring strictly to whether the decision to buy it is based upon its being a newsstand or not. For me, I need something more to the book than that it's a pre-2010 to buy it, while I will buy just about any post-2010 newsie I find regardless of underlying collectability ("just about" looking at you DC's Outsiders title!).
  10. No I meant thanks to the show on Amazon this issue is popping now! That’s my copy rescued from a fifty cent bin.
  11. Here's a good later issue from the series. Thanks Amazon!
  12. I read Tankers 1, it was okay. Pretty art, a little out there story wise, hard to find a protagonist. I'm locked in for the three issue set so we'll see how it plays out.
  13. There was some discussion on this thread about the coding of the newsstand issues and how it doesn't match up to the particular title in many instances. I think the theory was that it was too much of a hassle to change it so the codes didn't match a lot of the time. Not sure what "Marvel Authors" is meant to represent as far as a category of titles - reprints like this one maybe? Anyway, here's a pic I grabbed off of eBay of the direct edition of this book, no coding for the direct edition and it's $2.00 cheaper than the newsie version. I have to believe that there weren't a whole lot of buyers at the $6.99 price point even if it is three issues in one.
  14. I see that the Marvel Must Have Wolverine newsie I posted is two bucks more than the direct edition $6.99 vs. $4.99 - Yikes!
  15. I think they think that once they hand it off to the postal clerk the remainder of the journey will be magic!
  16. Read the first two issues of Eniac, it's pretty good. (How's that for a spoiler-free review?)
  17. My LCS sent me a reminder email today that my NFP 1, issue 2 and Tankers 1 are all waiting for me!
  18. If you let eBay manage your payments they give you 250 free listings per month instead of 200.
