I'm a fan as well even if I don't play in his end of the pool with the high grade vintage stuff. Heck, I've started stopping in the SA section just to read this thread! Bob, if I ever get wind of a collection coming to market on LI that needs a dealer's bankroll to buy, you'll be the first guy I call.

Recovering from a fairly debilitating stroke last I heard.

A nice little show at a nice little price! $5.00 at the door got you entry into a nice venue with dozens of booths selling a variety of goodies with a tilt toward the modern end. Still saw a few dealers with GA/SA wall books. Saw Steve Borock and the gang set up, didn't get a chance to say hello. Ended up with a boatload of the new VEI titles I had missed for $.50 each - $30 later and I left with a foot-high stack of comics! This is what collecting was like back in the go-go 90s - small local shows with plenty of wheeling-dealing going on.

Well done, Neal Adams. -
Didn't see a thread for this one, it's this Sunday $5 entry fee, local dealers, few name artists that I could see. https://licomicbookexpo.com/

The Ace Doubles are cool. A buddy of mine read Vulcan's Hammer years ago and liked it (I think if you like Phillip , you'll enjoy it). Post some pictures! I'll posts some pics later. I do enjoy PKD novels, they're far out but at least he keeps a coherent narrative going, bizarre as it may be. I also got a later one of his in this same batch this weekend, posthumous looks like, called Radio Free Albemuth. The only problem is it seems to be the 90% the same novel as Valis which I read last year. Disappointing, but there are more I haven't read so it's all good. -

I picked up half a dozen of those Ace double novel paperbacks at the flea market this weekend, one was Vulcan's Hammer by PKD, haven't read that one yet! Got some other cool SciFi paperbacks as well. -

What have you done to include yourself in that group? All I did was go to Hotflips' warehouse to hang out and BOOM an axis-of-evil party broke out! (by way of explanation, there was a flyer touting the comic fair at Hotflips to be attended by Carbo and Chuck, and people called it the axis of evil here on the boards - seriously.)
-
I hung out with the infamous "Axis of Evil" a few years ago - consisting of Chuck Rozanski, Mike Carbonaro, and Charles and his brother from Hotflips! Truly a greater collection of evildoers has not been seen in America before or since!

Picked up some easy Copper/Modern flips at the flea market yesterday including some cool newsstands. But the find of the day for me was a half dozen of the double-novel flip paperbacks. Those are so cool. Two new-to-me PKD stories to read on the commute, among others! -

I guess Hellboy would be a good one to trace as far as pre- and post- movie values, and what the price point is now after so many years since the last one. -
I get excited when I see containers of change. Me too! I also have to admit that I wouldn't cash those in without going through them (preferably as they're added to the jar rather than when it's full) to check for pre-1965 silver dimes or quarters (rarer and rarer with every passing year), or wheat pennies. I also save pre-1983 pennies because their copper content is worth more than face value, depending on the market value. Same for nickels, I believe, although it's much closer and I haven't checked it in a long time. Why give away two or three cents worth of copper for a penny, or seven cents worth of metal for five cents? Sure, you're not permitted to melt them down for their metal content yet but that will probably 'change' someday and then I'll cash in! It's just good cents!

Got a newsstand with the X-Force card in it. Did they do newsies with the other cards as well? Also have a regular Cap and three of the negative Caps with Deadpool cards. I love this junk!

Harby 8 seems likely to take a downward trajectory now that people realize there is a market for 9.8 Unity issues. There's never been any real heat on the Unity issues themselves, only the pre-Unity ones (like issue 6). By the time Unity came out the entire line was being over-ordered so these books are out there and in quantity. Guess we'll see.
