  1. Those are the usual, old - school 'modern' wells that CGC has always used. Although it looks like several books are moving in the wells. I had one that I delivered to someone and realized that the book was sitting on the bottom of the inner well. Thankfully there wasn't any damage but this is something CGC should look into. I had a shipment last year that was damaged coming back from CGC. the bottom edge of the inner well had failed and the comics were sliding out down to the bottom of the outer case. The damage was consistent with the box of slabs being dropped from a height. It looks like the Saga issue might have his problem, but it's hard to tell.
  2. Yeah I have sold every copy I had listed each in under day. I just sold a NM+ copy and it only took I think 4 days. The book is hotter then Uncanny Xmen 134 I think. Someone bought mine as well over the weekend.
  3. Loved the original movie, over-acting and all! I drop quotes from it all the time - and NO ONE ever gets them! Doesn't stop me, however. Play dead, Church...BE DEAD! Some folk say he was half Micmac himself... Christ on his throne, no! And who ever would?!? It's thanksgiving day for cats. The ground is SOUR!! No fair!!
  4. Because when they are for pick-up they are put into the safe.
  5. I haven't had 12+ watchers on a BIN for awhile - they're scoping out the 164 I put up this weekend for $20 in F/VF (162 and 163 as well for the same price - a bargain!).
  6. Shipped 8/28, arrived 8/30, verified 9/5? modern slow track? Something seems wrong about your dates...
  7. And it's a newsstand, maybe? Somebody needs to get this Sig Series, double-signed by Cruise and Leifeld!!
  8. That sucks! I wouldn't do anything with it as far as tear sealing or trying to reattach the cover because of the cost and the low upside (plus you're not selling it). Ultimately, however, such work should probably be done for the long-term preservation of the book. If you do wish to read it again, I would suggest laying the covers aside while you do so to prevent additional damage to them.
  9. Does anyone know if submissions that go from CCS-Required to RECEIVED means that CCS is done with their end of things?
  10. Sorry, this topic has been closed for further discussion.
  11. ten-centers twelve-centers under-a-bucks and all the rest
  12. Im a little slow - is this some type of code i should know? I'm calling it an answer to your question. Welcome to the boards and good luck on the purchase!
  13. This is my first time trying the CCS to CGC route (I've used outside pressers before - Shout out to RMA and Joey!) Anyway, does it mean CCS is finished with their end of things when they issue the invoice (which I just received by email today)?
  14. My LCS has them bagged up behind the counter and is asking $40 one per person.
  15. Except for Jughead the Hunger. I saw issue one and then it seemed like six months later there was number 5 already?!? What the heck? Artist must've finished them all before they released the first issue. Anyway, I missed out on 2-4 on the rack and I wasn't in a year-long coma as far as I can recall... And to your point, the between-issue delays caused me to stop collecting both Afterlife and Chilling Adventures. Just not worth the bother to keep track of when new issues might be appearing and making a special trip to get them when they did finally appear. Guess I'm not a "true fan".
  16. I was checking out eBay and it looks like some of these strips are still highly collectible, at least the older ones. I'll post some more pics of the interiors and specific strips from the batch I found. I didn't see any superhero strips at first glance, but there may be. These Sunday supplements seem to be about 6-8 pages each. I used to cut out and save certain Doonesbury and Bloom County strips. Wonder what happened to them? <LOOKING AT YOU MOM! I KNOW WHAT YOU DID!>
  17. Supreme had a Volume 1 and a Volume 2, is that the Image that you are speaking of? Generally, the indicia is the same for direct/newsstand issues.
  18. I finally found a site that had some Overstreet grading standards. It shows 3.5-4.5 may be detached at one staple. So I was in the ballpark. Thanks to all for the responses. That would seem to be for a cover rather than a centerfold, no?
  19. This morning I found two issues of Popular Science from 1947 for a buck each, and about 30 Sunday comic strip supplements from 1971-3 from NY/Philly papers, in various shape. Paid $10 for the stack. This is newspaper tabloid size.
  20. That's it! And Buzzetta is the godfather. He won the position in a coin flip with McKnowitall.
