The vendor, a man in his 50s, got into a dispute with another 21-year-old man that led to a scuffle at 7th Avenue and 34th Street around 7 p.m., according to police. The 21-year-old man was transported to Bellevue Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, cops said. Both men were arrested after the incident, but it was not immediately clear what led to the dispute, according to police. Photos from the scene show the blood-stained sidewalk outside of the iconic department store. Investigators can be seen collecting evidence near a table filled with scores of comic books behind tape.

It's been awesome reading through this thread, hearing boardies recall their interactions with Neal and appreciation of his artwork and talent. I'll have to take a pic of my Deadly Hands 1 that Neal signed for me at one of the Big Apple shows back in the early oughts, before he started charging (not that I had or have any issue with any artist doing so). RIP, Neal....

Did it go through this facility? PROCESSED THROUGH USPS FACILITY JERSEY CITY NJ NETWORK DISTRIBU, 07097 I had one go dark there for 16 days this month before it popped back on the radar. This facility was a notorious black hole during the pandemic as well. Maybe more of the same.

This one looks kinda cool until you focus in on the character in the lower right, and then it’s WTF??

Many of the ones I have are low grade with completely detached front or back covers or with tape. Always a depressing amount of confetti when I’m done looking through them.

Found another copy of #7 yesterday for a buck. This one has a spine split and detached bottom staple, some staining, etc. So rough shape but I wasn't going to leave it behind...

Thread bump - I was checking out MCS prices on this line as well and it seems like any sort of spine split or tape gets a Poor grade and lists for $2-4 bucks, which was pretty surprising. Maybe it's just low demand at work, I'm not sure.

I liked when he folded the copy of Action 1 in half and stuffed it into his back pocket when he was bugging out.
