  1. I did my research on SSWS #84 and #87 via GPAnalysis and Heritage. I have to call CL and CC if they can find the sale history on both SSWS 84 and 87.

Do you think SSWS #84 CGC 6.5 was overpriced? It asks for $1650. I think the price for SSWS #87 CGC 7.5 was too high. It asked for $650 after it went down.

What is your thought on the prices on both books?

  2. It is probably a stupid question but I always make a bold move.

I won WWBN #32 CGC 9.0 Off White to White pages for only $650 before 15% hammer price and shipping fees two weeks ago.

GPAnalysis shows last two sales: one went for $1070 and recent one was $910. Before it it jumped big, the normal price range was $600 to $850 and the increased price was about 20-40%.

    I think I got a bargian.

  3. I wasn't there but my dealer has my books for Heath but he hasn't communicated with me since the end of the show. Did Russ go through whole weekend?

No, he did not show up on Sunday.

That was my fear. My dealer might be a major screw-up. I just wondered why he didn't respond me since Saturday evening. His last post was 5:30pm (CST) on Saturday. Was Russ Heath staying there on Saturday until 7pm?

Sorry to hear that! Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend, but my dealer got everything signed for me on the Friday.

    You are very fortunate.

  5. I was at a comic book auction last night and saw a raw NM/M copy sell for $460!

    Crazy...

Yeah, someone sneaked upon me but that winner will have to pay 15% buyer's premium. Probably, the winner has to pay the sales tax onsite. I was not there but I set my maximum bid online.

Another on-line bidder won it, so yeah, there will be another 15% premium added on. There were two disappointed bidders in the back of the room who were each looking to snag this copy for $300 max, and a bunch of other attendees murmuring that is was time to bring their copies up for sale after the hammer fell on this one!

It was definitely a sharp looking copy.

Were you looking closer to X-Factor #6? I won that book but I still preferred NM #98. Hopefully, X-Factor #6 is NM/M condition.

  6. Good luck with the signatures. Make sure you shake his hand and show your appreciation. Sadly, as time goes by, we are less and less fortunate to have these opportunities. (thumbs u

I won't be there but my friend Brad will be my handler and witness his signatures. Funny thing is that I was a baby when Russ spent his time in Chicago while he was stationed and mooched at Playboy building back in 1960's. It would be neat to meet him and I admired his art works.
